Well written, excellent read, clearly understands the subject matter 20 novembre 2013
Par Amazon Customer - Publié sur
The author provides a fairly unique look into the world of stakeholder analysis and management. Few PM's truly realize the importance of this topic and how it can dramatically affect the outcomes of their respective projects.

In a sea of books which are dry and extremely detail heavy -- This book is lucidly written, well organized and approachable by PM's of all experience levels.

This book is definitely something that will be a key part of my library.

I heard Ori speak on this topic and he was dynamic, funny and insightful. I bought this book, but did not expect that the material would translate very well into straight text and exposition. I was pleasantly surprised. Well worth your time if you are new to this topic, or just looking for ways to deal with your personal reality at work.
Excellent book recommended for anybody interested in improving their project management skills whether novice or experienced 24 mars 2014
Par ypreiss - Publié sur
The book is well written and covers all important aspects of project management in an easy to follow manner and can be a very important tool as a readily available reference for a novice or even an experience practitioner. I found this book to innovative in its practicality. Ease of read and thoroughness in covering the entire project management process.
All steps in a typical project management process are well covered. Emphasis is made on project management processes that are very important but usually get little attention.
Practical advice on project management using real life scenarios 9 décembre 2013
Par Cheryl Low - Publié sur
The author makes it clear right from the start, this isn’t a book on the theory of project management. The world is already over saturated with these. This book provides practical advice written in plain English, with a little bit of humour (had a good chuckle at some of the scenarios since they were so real). It is obvious the author is still a practitioner rather than simply a scholar in project management as the book is loaded with relevant real life situations, what triggers them, how they are usually managed (ineffectively) and of course how to successfully manage them. It definitely made me take a look at certain scenarios differently. A must read for PMs of all levels.
Anchored in reality 6 décembre 2013
Par Gil Broza - Publié sur
This book is clearly written by a project manager who knows the theory inside and out -- and where the theory fails to meet organizational and human reality. This isn't yet another book to teach you the sterilized fundamentals of project management; it is a book to help you manage projects with real people operating under very real constraints. It is designed to be practical. Every page you turn to, it will show you the pitfalls you can expect from applying the methodology as prescribed, and what you could instead to get the results you hope for.
