Final Battle2 juillet 2013

The seventh and final volume of the manga version of Tow Ubukata's "Mardock Scramble" features the final battle between the two major characters of the series: the cyborg heroine Rune Ballot and the deadly assassin Dimsdale Boiled. Effectively illustrated by Yoshitoki Oima, the manga adaptation has more gun fight action and some disturbing content in it - more disturbing than in the three-part anime version completed in 2012 - including violent deaths and child abuse. But perhaps most readers who have read the series so far must know that.
[The following paragraph includes spoilers of the previous volume.]
Rune Ballot, shape-shifting AI Oeufcoque and Dr. Easter, having obtained the "tips" in the previous "Casino" episode, finally learn the shocking truth about Shell Septinous, who "murdered" and left her for dead in the first volume.
Despite the several minor changes, the main story is basically the same, though because of the final four pages (scenes not included in the anime/original book), the overall impression you get after reading the book would be totally different. More violent and action-packed than the previous volume, the final volume of "Mardock Scramble" concludes the saga of the girl Rune Ballot in a fitting way.

I loved this series and I'm glad it's come to an end. I kinda hate waiting months at a time for the next volume in a series. I love tha anime as well and I don't know why the other review here says the anime is more "tame" than the manga cuz that is absolutely false. the manga is take compared to the anime. there's more action and better details on the anime than in the manga, partly due to motion lol but they are both great and I recommend watching the whole 3 DVDs/Blu rays and reading all 7 mangas. I have yet to read the paperback novel but I'm sure it's just as good. the one complaint and thing I have a problem with is that the back cover of the manga says" includes special extras after the story!" I'm not new to manga so I know most manga have some 1-2 pages of extra stuff or jokes of some kind with the characters, kinda like a book version of an OVA but that's not tha case here. once this series ends, it's over! NO extras, no 1-2 page of anything else. just the blank back cover! so I'm still wondering WTF this "special extras" stuff is but, whatever! I don't need it. It's just false advertising. Mardock Scamble is a great story so check it out for yourself. not recommended for young teens!
