In 1993-94, New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team and awarded the Calder Trophy as the league's top rookie. Since that first season he has only improved. In 1996-97 he led the NHL with a phenomenal 1.88 goals against average (GAA). Brodeur's career GAA is 2.19. In 6+ NHL seasons, he has appeared in 375 games and compiled a record of 201 wins to only 105 losses.

The 41-year-old native of Hempstead, N.Y., is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey and resides in Cranbury, N.J. with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Chris (10) and Steven (9).
