The introduction makes it clear that the Mediterranean Diet is not a traditional 'lose weight' diet but more a lifestyle where healthy and delicious food is included. Following interesting information on the Diet and its health benefits and a glossary of foods, we come to the recipe collection. A great variety - 60 delicious and healthy recipes are clearly described, each with its nutritional value table. There are excellent colour photographs illustrating the dishes. A very worthwhile addition to a recipe collection.

I was eager to look at this book after having bought her Quinoa book. Recently I took an anti-inflammatory, gluten-free cooking class put on by a nutritionist. In that I discovered in general that I really need to fully morph my diet to the Mediterranean style of eating (but also without gluten). This book has so many recipes, along with photos, combining many different ingredients I would never be able to think of on my own. The very few recipes that call for flour, noodles, bread crumbs can easily be transformed to gluten free by substitution. Beyond the recipes, the book has basic information about the ingredients considered in this type of diet style and excerpts from research on its benefits. For me, making a transition in the foods I eat, I find this extremely helpful: small, bite-sized info bits to learn a new way of living. I found one recipe I can try tonight with the ingredients I have on hand. I look forward to seeing Stacy's next book and to learn more. It was also helpful to see the nutritional values included with each recipe.

Being a rather picky eater I am always searching for healthy recipes to add into my meal rotation. I picked up the Mediterranean Diet Cookbook to skim the recipes but found the eating habits and the health benefits of a Mediterranean lifestyle to be very logical and simple to implement.

Author Stacy Michaels provides a useful food pyramid in the beginning of the book that we all should print out and hang on our refrigerators. The author also lays out simple steps to get started on the Mediterranean Diet.

The recipe collection includes the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner staples but also has a variety of soups, salads and desserts. All of the recipes include the nutritional information per serving which I find helpful.

The recipes in this book are worth the price alone. Download your copy today and start eating better tonight.

This book is a great resource of information about what the Mediterranean diet is exactly. I really liked the pyramid with the explanation of the monthly, weekly and daily items and the glossary of terms is invaluable in getting a clear understanding of this information. Excellent.

In addition to fabulous recipes,the author Stacy Michaels goes into depth explaining what a Mediterranean Lifestyle is all about. She provides information about the characteristics of the diet and includes a food pyramid. Ms. Michaels also tells us about the health benefits that implementing the Mediterranean Diet can give us. She also gives us eight simple steps for eating the Mediterranean way.

The best part of the book is the amazing recipes! Just in case you're not familiar with all the terms a Mediterranean diet food glossary is provided. The recipes are well written and the nutritional information is given.

I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but here are a few I can't wait to try. Mediterranean Quiche, Mediterranean Breakfast Wrap, Strawberry Parfait, Margherita Lasagna, Mediterranean Pizza,and Ginger Snap Apple Crisp with Sweet Cinnamon and Walnuts.

Great information and recipes. Highly recommended.

Some of these Mediterranean recipes are out of this world. It's amazing to see how healthy this diet really is. Can't wait to try the almond crusted chicken. Of course pizza is always a favorite in our house. Like the way most of the recipes aren't too difficult to do either. Overall a great recipe book and highly recommended to others.
