Being an athlete does not only require physical strength but also mental power.The book explained what do elite athletes have differently from any other people who are competing in different type of sports and how would you be able to develop yourself into one. What I like about the book is when the author expounded on the elements which are helpful in reaching your goal as an athlete. I am not an athlete but I was able to connect with what the author is saying about mental strength which I believe can be attained by anybody. When it gets to the point stating that we have to surround ourselves with positivity, I realized if we really have this mental power no matter how negativity surrounds us, we would always find ways to eventually convert it to something positive and have a tougher mindset. Mental toughness could also mean our minds can resist these negative energies to achieve our main goals. This is a good read, the contents will help you understand what do athletes need to have aside from being physically strong in order to become a champion. I have friends who are football players and I would definitely share this with them. I would recommend this book to aspiring athletes, athletes, coaches, mentors and to anyone interested in sports.

I have and a still having dreams which I can literally feel myself achieving and imagine but for some reason I’ve never really went for it, I’ll gather up motivation one day and immediately start doing something then I don't know why but for some reason I’ll get tired and by the next day I’d have given up on it. The checklist made me realize that my biggest challenge was that i was afraid of change and not very willing to sacrifice much to attain the goals. This book has helped me to be able to identify my drive and to envision my success, i'm still trying to prepare myself for sacrifices. I was a dancer and somewhere along the line gave upon it but i'm willing to do whatever it takes to be better than i was. I was not born to stand at a mere average ,I was born to be a top achiever and would do what ever it takes to reach there.

This book, Mental Toughness: The Ultimate Performance Guide for the Elite Athlete by David Bishopson does a good job at inspiring an athlete to excel beyond being just good, or even just great. In fact, there are lessons in here which could be applied to other areas of our life – business, creative endeavors, etc. But that’s mainly because sports competition relates to so many things. This book focuses on sports and how to develop the mental toughness and stamina to rise to the very highest levels. It’s well organized and efficiently written. Bottom line – it’s like having another coach. Recommended, five stars.

How do top athletes maintain their drive? Are you a good athlete who wants to be great? This book is for you. The author discusses how to achieve mental toughness to be ranked among the elite. These logical characteristics and steps can be applied to other fields such as being at the top of your game inn art or music. Definitely a must read if you want to be part of the elite in athletics.

General guide for the average person. Would certainly take more than a short ebook to help build mental toughness. Basic guidance and direction on how to help the average person overcome mental blocks to exercise. Well written, practical and easy to read.
