Microsoft System Center 2012 Unleashed 2 août 2012

Format: Broché Achat vérifié
This book explains MSC 2012 understandably by presenting and repeating the important parts and noting potential problems. And it's easily readable which is a big plus. I find I'm picking up key points readily about a system I have no familiarity with. I tried a competing book which uses specific jargon that I can't follow well. The 'Unleashed' book is very accessible and easy, even pleasant, to read.
Good overall 21 novembre 2012

I used this book as a base guide for deploying several of the System Center 2012 products into test and production at a ~1,000 person company. It gives more than enough information to get everything deployed and points out a lot of the "gotchas" before you run in to them. This book along with the typical Google search supplement is perfect for anyone looking to build the SC2012 infrastructure.

A great all around Overview and implementation planner 4 novembre 2012
Par James E Job - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle Achat vérifié
Microsoft System Center 2012 unleashed is a great all around Overview and Implementation planner for the System Center Suite of products.

System Center is a very complex set of tools that has rapidly evolved over the years, and properly understanding the current features and implementation "gotchas" is critical to avoid painting oneself into a corner, or worse, having a poorly performing environment.

This book won't give you the exact prescription for your particular environment and situation. However, it will give you good information on the capabilities of each component of the suite, how to implement them for the basic scale of your environment, and the typical problems that can be experienced with it. If you pay yourself $0.10 per hour, avoiding those pains alone is worth the price of the book.

It would be nice if the book included the SP1 updates (currently in Beta, RTM expected early 2013), but it does not (the critical support for Server 2012 and a host of new features). Even so-- it's still worth the price if you are new to the product.
