I absolutely love this book. I have been reading it to my 5-year-old step son and he loves the colourful pictures and is amazed by the fantastic collection of stories. It is small enough for a youngsters hand and is a great way to start introducing mythology from other cultures. This is truly a beautiful childrens book that will be treasured.

My 8 year old can now read Harry Potter to himself, so doesn't need me for much reading anymore. This is the only book he repeatedly asks me to read to him. The names are a bit tricky for him (and for me at first - the cheat sheet in the back is wonderful!), so he prefers me to read it. I can see how much he is remembering from time to time. There are so many stories in here that are referenced here and there in life, and he is learning the stories young. I remember struggling to remember these names when I had to learn them in school - he'll have them down pat. They really are quite exciting adventures!
As far as the size goes - I love this size. It fits perfectly in your hand and doesn't take up too much room on the bookshelf. The print is still reasonably large and easy to read.
The pictures are also very nice. There aren't a lot of pictures, but the ones they have get the point across well. I'll be reading a description section in a story and my son will say "that is the picture on the back cover right there" - he has the pictures memorized. They are very detailed and clear.

My daughters (5 & 6) and I really like this book. The stories are well suited for a young audience, though my 5 yo was a bit frightened by the picture of the minotaur. Do note the physical size -- this is a "Mini Usborne".

Excellent, as usual, Usborne title. This was on my grandchild's wish list. I am glad to see a book of myths for young children. Beautiful illustrations. My grandchild will love it!

My 7 year old daughter loves these greek myths. She reads most things on her own, but routinely asks me read these stories to her. She loves the elaborate greek names and the pictures. I definitely recommend this book for kids with a keen sense of adventure!
