About the author
Edward M. Gomez's background is in philosophy and design. He is a former cultural correspondent for TIME in New York, Paris, and Tokyo, and series editor of Metropolitan Home. A contributing editor of Art & Antiques magazine, Gomez has also written on art and design for the New York Times, Metropolis, ARTnews, the Japan Times, Cond Nast Traveler, Eye, and Raw Vision. He is one of the contributing authors of Le dictionnaire de la civilisation japonaise (Hazan Editions).
