If you are serious about Kindle publishing, get this book now!

I'm normally not so enthusiastic when writing book reviews, you can see that if you check my other reviews, but this time I can honestly say that I am becoming Steve Scott's fan.

I would say there are two groups of activities when it comes to Kindle publishing. The first group covers technical aspect - how to set an account, format and upload a book, insert pictures. These are important steps but I would call them setting the stage, and they are not the focus of this book. The thing is that too many books on Kindle publishing focus on this technical part.

The second group consists of actions you need to take in order to sell your book - marketing. This is precisely what you will get in this book - a list of marketing activities you want to follow if you want to be a successful Kindle publisher. They are clear, straightforward, applicable and ethical and cover all areas from pricing, KDP Select promotion, white-hat practices, building loyal readers, why email list is important and much more.

I especially like that the author insists that you have to write good books and focus on the activities that bring you the most. You can feel that he speaks from his own experience, and that those are all activities worth doing.
You also get links to other resources on Internet that can further improve your efforts.

If you have already published a Kindle book, I am sure you will find good advice to complement your own selling strategy.
If you are new to Kindle publishing, I would suggest getting this book plus one more book that covers the technical aspect, like for example Kindle Publishing - Format, Publish & Promote your Books on Kindle and read both of them. You will get all the info you need and start in the right way from the very beginning.

This book is full of good advice.

Some of the ideas (such as an email list and building a platform) are standard marketing advice, but Scott also includes original promotion ideas that you can apply on top of them.

I think this book is definitely worth the price. Out of the 61 ways, there were 1-2 ideas that I'd spend $2.99 on just by themselves.

I loved this book. Steve has a writing ability that makes you feel like you are talking with a friend over a cup of coffee. He explains everything in a simplified way. The book was very informant and interesting to read.

A very in-depth, high-quality read about selling more books on the Kindle. Steve has wrote the book that I've been waiting for ever since I started publishing books on the Kindle. It's jam-packed with quality ideas for cross-promoting books and it breaks each piece of advice down into easy to implement steps near the end of the book.

There's so much in here that I haven't had the opportunity to try them all out yet, but I can sincerely say that everything I've learned from Steve over the past few months on this topic has helped me to sell my non-fiction Kindle titles. The only downside to the book for me was that I was already using a good much of the techniques he talks about, but that's more of a compliment to Steve's knowledge because I've been studying his Kindle marketing techniques for months now.

This book is the aggregation of Steve's best ideas on the subject. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in marketing their books better on the Kindle.

I read another book by this author and I gave it a 5-star review - But this book is somewhat disappointing. Of course, Steve writes good books and he doesn't use filler content like many other authors in this niche, but the (only) major strategy he recommends in this book is to write more books, in the same niche.

There is an obvious issue if an author writes one book every 3 weeks in the same niche (as suggested in this book) - The quality will suffer.

It took 3 months for me to write my first book and it will take 4-5 months to write my next book (estimated time). Just write, not formatting, book-cover, publishing, etc. One of the reasons for it is the amount of research required to write each sub-topic within these books.

Secondly, these two books will be in different niches because in my first book I covered almost everything that I want to convey about that topic - IMO, a book is complete only when an author can say that confidently.

This book is a good choice if you intend to write many books within the same niche. But for people like me who (plan to) write two quality books in a year, there is nothing much. At least nothing much that we already don't know.
