As an author, freelance writer and publisher, who has been in the industry for nearly twenty years, I could not figure out the purpose of this book. The description states that this book is an “easy-to-use “guide. However, it reads to me as a marketing tool for Inscribe Digital. Not that there is wrong with that, but when I read the description, I could only assume this was a “How to Publish Your Book” title.

This book may serve some purpose to first time publishing authors, however, thirty pages it not nearly enough space to outline an adequate self-publishing plan. One thing that I did find interesting was the piece on partnering with review services such as NetGalley. However, it does not explain exactly how to do that. It is as if this book gives just enough information to draw a first time author in so they will contact Inscribe directly.

Again, a first-time author may find some of the provided information beneficial, but it really is of no use to an experienced self-published author.

This little book is mostly a promotional guide to INscribe Digital company. I was about half-way through the book before I got past the promotional material. Then, there were some brief, useful ideas, then back to promoting INscribe.

At the very end of the book, it becomes clear that this is just a "sampler" booklet. The description of this book doesn't make it clear that this is really a sampler, promotional booklet. Some sections specifically assume you are an INscribe client: "We prefer to work with partners who have a minimum number of five active titles..."

There are FAR better books on how to promote your e-book.

Writers be warned: this isn't a book of advice on digital publishing. This is a shameless promotional leaflet of a company that provides "publishing" services on the Internet. All the book does, it tells you which services they have to offer, with just a smattering of very basic publishing suggestions on one or two pages in the middle of the book. This book can't possibly offer anything even to a novice publisher, unless he or she is shopping around for a company like this one.

While not bad in itself (a free promotional leaflet, what's there not to like?) I find the book's title and especially the blurb misleading to the point of being fraudulent. They should have made the message clear by saying that this is a promotional leaflet, but then no one would download it, right? Utterly useless. Avoid!

First of all, this is a book or rather a pamphlet to peddle Inscribe's services. That said, it is still useful information for someone who has just ventured into the confusing realms of self publishing and needs a little hand holding.
Naturally, there would be some costs to be paid. So if you can afford it, come to Inscribe. If not, the internet abound with free resources, including YouTube videos.
So depending on how deep your pockets be, choose your weapon of choice wisely.

I chose this book because I was hoping to gain some new insight on the book publishing industry. What I read was basically marketing thinly veiled as helpful content for beginning self-publishers. Some of the information may be helpful to a potential author, but it does not cover anything in depth at all for going from a potential to actual author.
