Out of date illustrations & concept of potty chair 28 mars 2015
Par Mother in Fullerton - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Cartonné Achat vérifié
Sorry this may be a "classic" but I did not want to encourage my child to be creative with her potty seat and to put it on her head or to sit on a pot that looks like it's from the 1800s. I would upload a pic but will respect copyright. Shows a picture of the potty chair with flowers as a vase, a cat drinking milk out of it, the baby putting it on her head as a hat and then sitting on it to poo.

Best potty training book 31 mars 2015
Par Stephanie A. - Publié sur Amazon.com

Best potty training book! Very straightforward about body parts and functions, without being graphic or immature. My 2 1/2 year old requests this book every night at bedtime and she quotes it when she goes potty. Great help for potty training!

Great for Potty Training Girls 2 avril 2015
Par Fred Telegdy - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Cartonné Achat vérifié
We started potty training our toddler and found this book at the local library. The book instantly became our toddler's favorite and she wanted to read it ALL the time. As she started showing more and more interest in using the potty, she would say lines from the book and it was clear that she was becoming more and more excited about using the potty because of reading the book. For us, the parents, the book did a great job of just putting it all out there. Yes, there are graphic representations of poop in a potty and anatomically correct representations of the little girl -- which is why there's a girls and boys version -- and as any parent who has been through potty training knows, you're just going to have to get used to that being part of your life for awhile, so I like that the book helps parents as much as kids.

So funny, she watched me use the toilet and then ... 16 mars 2015

We have not started potty training yet (daughter is 17 months), however I got this book to introduce the idea to my child. So funny, she watched me use the toilet and then brought this book to me! So I think she is starting to connect the dots. The author uses the term "wee wee", but encourages parents to use terms that suit them better. The text is OK, the illustrations are better at getting the point across. I thought the "anatomy" page was approachable ("...Ears to hear, a mouth the talk and eat, a pee pee to make wee wee...). One critique, no one uses an actual pot as a potty, so that illustration could be updated.

Father of Twin Toddlers 27 février 2009
Par William Lander - Publié sur Amazon.com

This book was recommended to me by the manager of the day care where my twin 2 1/2 year old girls go to school. We are just getting started in the process of introducing them to potty training - trying to get the interest up. This has quickly become one of their favorite bedtime reads.

I, too, would now recommend this to the parents of twins as a great book to get little girls interested in using the potty. At this age, my daughters are tightly bound to Mom; the story line links the little girl to her Mom, striking a cord with my girls and making the message more easy to relate to.
