Operation Trojan Horse OUR SKIES ARE FILLED WITH TROJAN HORSES.... "The real UFO story must encompass all of the many manifestations being observed. It is a story of ghosts and phantoms and strange mental aberrations; of an invisible world that surrounds us and occasionally engulfs us; of prophets and prophecies, and gods and demons. un ouvrage destiné à tous ceux qui cherchent à élucider l'énigme des "extraterrestres" sans préjugés .

5.0 étoiles sur 5 This book depicts the true nature and of the UFO mystery. 17 novembre 1999
Par Un client - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format:Broché
This is a book of UFOs and the paranormal which does not parrot the popular line. It demonstrates the nexus existing between the various types of paranormal manifestations (ufos, hairy monsters, demons and ghosts, MIB, etc.) And, most significantly, Keel proves that the correct identity/source of UFOs are not aliens from other planets traveling aboard "spacechips" of "very advanced technology." This book not only explains the nature of UFOs and paranormal critters, but it can greatly assist the individual in coming to a true and greatly extended conception regarding the basic nature of reality. I make the same comments about Keel's other books. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in UFOs or any facet ot the paranormal.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 ESSENTIAL! 9 octobre 2006

Operation Trojan Horse is essential for any student of the occult. Mr Keel's brilliant thesis on the "ultraterrestrial" hypothesis needs to be read . . . albeit, with the proverbial "grain of salt."

You see, shortly after the 1970 version of this book was published, Mr Keel was not only "contacted" by the subjects of his research -- they refused to leave him alone! As a result he was driven insane. This is most clearly evident in his later work, "The Eighth Tower." A few of Keel's other works ("This Haunted Planet" and "The Mothman Prophesies") are noteworthy, but not in the same class as OTH.

The opinion of the ultraterrestrials regarding this book seems to have been, "He wrote WHAT??? Oh, no -- can't have that! Let us put him at the top of our list of folks who need to be f**ked with. . ." The first edition almost did not see print, and a 2nd edition was never published until this revised edition came out in the late 1990s. Meanwhile, between Keel stating things like, "God is insane, and an ancient computer keeps sending BEAMS INTO MY HEAD!" (paraphrased from "The Eighth Tower"), and allegations of ultraterrestrial Dopplegangers impersonating him across the land -- well, let us say that his (ahem) "credibility" has suffered considerably.

Regardless of Keel's mental illness (from which he eventually seemed to recover), sloppy research, and bizarre speculations; OTH stands out as perhaps the best thing ever written about multi-dimensional entities. Keel spends a lot of time discussing the nature of the electromagnetic spectrum, and goes in depth regarding little known facts common to many witness accounts (things which were left out of official reports, as they contradicted the preconceptions of "scientifically biased" investigators). Keel's investigation shows that this sort of thing has been going on throughout recorded history. Starting with ancient mythology, and progressing onto folk legends, then delving into old reports of "airships," "ghost planes," "foo fighters," and modern "black helicopters," Keel presents a convincing argument that these are not the result of human conspirators, but rather a multi-dimensional intelligence which can assume any guise it wishes.

Perhaps the most important point that Keel makes is that these intelligences ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. Indeed, he states that the many reports of "aliens" observed performing nonsensical actions (making "repairs," collecting soil samples, performing medical examinations, and delivering lectures about the dangers of atomic energy to inbred hillbillies) are nothing more than a charade intended to make us believe that they are something other than what they are. Keel believes that the only reason for such a ruse would be hostile intent. He then expands this argument by referring to the hundreds of "contactees" (as well as spirit mediums & New Age "channellers") who have been given a series of valid prophesies -- which then compel them to either go on a wild goosechase, make public announcements of impending doom, or even form destructive cults.

But consider this . . . what if it isn't "hostile intent" at all? What if the ultraterrestrials are just kicking back, drinking some beers, and one of 'em goes, "Hey -- you know what would REALLY mess with their minds?" Perhaps it is nothing more than a warped sense of humor!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Profound UFO Overview, Way Ahead of Its Time 2 septembre 2013
Par T. I. Farmer - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format:Format Kindle|Achat vérifié
This is the UFO book that, when first released, terrified me into the middle of next week. It's wonderful to see it reissued more than forty years later - and learn how well it holds up.

In 1970 I was a UFO-curious ten-year-old consuming drugstore paperbacks extolling our benevolent space brothers. I checked out "Operation Trojan Horse" from the New York City Public Library, read the big intimidating hardback under the covers after lights out, and didn't sleep for a week.

This book was a defiantly different deal, and still is.

Keel's thesis flies in the face -- convincingly -- of the extraterrestrial hypothesis, and the whole spaceships-from-beyond explanation of the phenomenon fiercely defended to this day. For that Keel was more or less excommunicated in the 1970s by the UFO true believers, who at the time brutally suppressed many reported aspects of UFO sightings that failed to fit their preconceptions.

Keel points out that UFOs come in too many "form factors," and apparently break down or crash too often, to be sensibly attributed to advanced space explorers. Contact experiences are too often absurd or nonsensical, percipients too often lied to. UFOs too often mimic the characteristics of paranormal phenomena reported since ancient times, from the Bible's wheels of fire and angelic visitations to fairies and leprechauns. Most likely, deduces Keel, the UFO phenomenon is perpetrated by a trickster intelligence occupying a different reality frequency. Not from the Pleiades, but from right here - this intelligence, sometimes helpful, sometimes hostile, but most often indifferent, has always been with us, but adopts new frames of reference to relate to humanity as it evolves. Angels in ancient days, spindly Victorian-looking airships in the 1890s, sleek flying saucers crewed with "spacemen" as we became a spacefaring species. They can project as solid objects when they want to, but the flood of reports of UFOs vanishing on the spot, fading away through the color spectrum or acting like biological ("soft") objects suggest there's more to this than nuts and bolts.

Keel's laborious research methods (in the pre-Internet 1960s he was dependent on clipping services and long-distance phone calls) seem slow and quaint now. But he assembled UFO data as no other non-government researcher had to that point. And what really makes your hair stand on end is his personal testimony about how the trickster phenomenon began to mess with him. As rewards for his investigative zeal he got: cryptic havoc on his phone line; weird predictive messages passed to him by contactees from "spacemen"; terrifying nighttime visitations. No shortage of things to consider for a small boy reading "Operation Trojan Horse" in bed late at night, especially when Keel urges parents to forbid psychologically vulnerable kids from getting wrapped up in UFOs. (Mine were wholly oblivious.)

This is a landmark book in the UFO field, genuinely mind-expanding, from one of the two or three best writer-researchers ever to crack the topic. Keel's best-known book is "The Mothman Prophecies" owing to the Richard Gere movie, but "Operation Trojan Horse" is his best work, period.

As a devout Keel reader of the last 30 yrs I would have to put this at the top of his list. Those familiar with Keel know that his belief is that UFOs are not extraterrestrial in nature but "ultra-terrestrial".This book explains UFOs and their relationship with phantom/faerie lore,poltergeist/hauntings,religious "phenomena",and magic. If you are a fan of Mr.Keel or into the paranormal/ufo phenomenon,or just would like a different point of view, you MUST have this book.

Par Un client - Publié sur Amazon.com

This book (along with one or two others) has had a profound influence on my view of UFOs. It starts off by examining some of the stranger UFO cases, and goes on to show that the beings inside UFOs are not aliens from outer space, but something different entirely.
Well written, thought provoking, and humorous, this is a book you simply must read!
