Yee was born to a poor famiiy in Hong Kong, and because they were poor Yee didn't have any toys, so he started folding and cutting up old newspapers to occupy himself. Later, he educated himself in the art of paper cutting and started to design and handcraft toys with paper. For the last 35 years he has developed his skills in paper crafting, first as a hobby and then as a profession. Paper has millions of possibilities, and Yee has spent his life trying to discover as many of those possibilities as he can. He does paper cutting, origami, popup cards, pop-up architecture, paper toys, paper costumes, paper lamps, and paper models. All the designs and methods are products of his imagination. Over the years he has perfected his craft and is now recognized as one of the world's foremost papercrafters. He sells custom paper craft work through his website.
