Jumping into crime and other wild derring-do on the high seas 8 juillet 2013
Par Grady Harp - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle
Robin Anderson continues to write the campiest tales that take on hilarious proportions that further into the novel the reader progresses. His writing is risqué, full of parodies and putdowns, brimming over with naughty situations that never approach pornography. He is an apt storyteller, but in so many ways the story is not as important as the zany characters he creates to unfold his bizarre ventures. At times his writing seems like a Dr. Seuss tale written for adults with human characters instead of Seuss characters: if Horton Hears a Who then Robinson hears a Hoot!

The PR outlines this story( as well as anyone can) as follows: `When charming Miz Miranda Maracona and Miz Kookie Kombuis - one so fair, the other so, so dark! - are two enormously talented and hugely endowed transvestites, (or better yet, self-proclaimed 'transvestites of taste'), set out on a quest to find sunken treasure, even they can't imagine what adventure will ensue. From fancy yachts to encounters with Somali pirates, Kookie and Miranda sashay their way on their Jimmy Choos with panache, haute couture, and cocktails ever present. From London to the high seas, Abu Dhabi, Zanzibar, and Buenos Aires--no matter if it's climbing a pyramid of muscular men or double crossing a hunky sea captain--this outrageous pair, along with their cadre of friends, including a threesome of retired porn stars, can always be counted on to provide a gasp, a laugh, and never-ending intrigue and mayhem en route.'

These novels are for diversion - and that is a compliment! Few writes can match Robinson's audacity of style and end up with a tale that is side-splittingly funny - and of course a bit trashy! De rigueur for today's tired, in-need-of-stimulation crowd. Grady Harp, July 13

Once more Robin Anderson delivers a diverting tale, which has the divoon Miz M and the equally divoon Miz K pitted against a devilish bush of desperadoes. Deviousness, deception and duplicity are everywhere as the intrepid duo face pirates, kidnapping and more plot twists than are contained within the complexities of Miz K's regal turban. As always, scores of Louis Vuitton trunks and hatboxes along with a copious supply of champagne and creme de menthe accompany the two trannies of taste and style on this romp through the Indian Ocean. Such is their consumption of cocktails one wonders how they remain upright on their Manolos. But one thing is clear; Miz M and Miz K are always one step ahead of their adversaries in crime, gain, lust and survival. In this novel we are treated to the timely intervention of Reggie who we first met in Robin Anderson's first novel "Regina". Indeed the distinguished Mr Anderson even takes time out from his writing duties to make a brief appearance himself.
