... by Leonardo Manzo and Karina di Geronimo.

As always with these authors, this is one very interesting and entertaining cookbook and the recipes are really very easy to follow.
I live in Italy, so I can say that I have tried a lot of pasta recipes in my life.

But I can only repeat what I wrote in my review for the 27 Pizza Easy Recipes:
This very useful e-book comes with Bonuses: This time 'The Grandma's Recipes' for a real home-made pasta. Then there are the most useful BIGS of the salsa: Bolognese, Tomato, Bechamel, Pesto and Mushroom - which can be varied as You like it.
And the additional 7 tips will help to make Your pasta real perfect.

As always, I can only recommend the book.
And I will follow the authors to see what they publish next.

Have a good meal!

The beginning says "in this book we leave it up to you to choose between fresh and dry pasta recipes. Very well, it's time to get your hands on the dough!!!" The final line strongly indicates that fresh pasta dough will be involved, but all the recipes call for dry or frozen pasta. It seems inconsistent.

There is no table of contents. Some recipes are numbered but the next-to-last recipe has the number 4. I did not count to see if there were 27.

The bonus section says 7 tips, 5 sauces, and "Grandma's recipe." At the end, there are two fresh pasta recipes with information given in metric units. There is no information on cutting or shaping the various noodles.

There are indeed 5 sauces. The bechamel sauce says "If we want to enrich the sauce with some chopped onion, we should fry it in the butter and follow the same steps until the end." Considering that the instructions say to melt butter in a "stainless steel container," this is somewhat confusing.

The "tomate" sauce recipe calls for a tin of tomato puree (no size given).

Many recipes call for an oven temperature of 200 degrees but do not specify the scale (Celsius or Fahrenheit).

The first recipe calls for an oven temperature of 200 degrees (grill) but doesn't specify what scale and says to "grill" the pasta dish in the oven. For the sauce, it says "Bind thoroughly with the butter and condiment to taste." It also calls for "cooking cream."

The clam tagliatelle says to "drain the pasta and reserve." It almost sounds as if they mean the water should be reserved, but there is no provision for it.

Spinach and Ricotta calls for another tin of tomato puree with no size given. It says "3 packets spinach" but there is no quantity given, nor fresh/frozen information.

Tagliatelle Gratin calls for "grilling cheese." No clue what this might be. It also says to "grill for 5 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees."

Spaghetti in Pink Sauce - "two small tins" of tomato puree this time and more "cooking cream."

Ravioli Matriciana - frozen ravioli and ingredients including "1 chilli," "1 tin chopped tomato."

Ravioli with Mixed Sauce - frozen ravioli, "tomato sauce," and 1 cup cream.

Gnocchi with Mushrooms - frozen gnocchi, and ingredients including "1 large tin mushrooms," "1 tin tomato puree."

There are more examples, but I think that's enough. These authors need to get some help to polish their books for an American audience and to follow better informational guidelines. Recipes should have clear and specific quantities given and temperature scale should always be provided. Ingredients should be given in the terms used by the reading audience.

If you are looking for some pasta "classic" recipes, this is an ebook you might want to check out.

The recipes are formatted/presented in a pleasing way and the color photos throughout look great.

I'm giving 3 stars because for me (being an experienced and avid cook) I found the recipes a bit TOO basic.

Many were lacking in even basic seasonings, except for references to adding salt, pepper, oregano... (with no amounts suggested) listed. These give a framework for making the particular recipe but I'm guessing might be a bit "sketchy" for the novice cook.

If you make the sauce recipes included in the book (and not use commercial sauces) this would help with the seasonings, but for anyone time-strapped, making sauces from scratch probably wouldn't be an option, if you're in a hurry to make supper.

There are several recipes included for making fresh pasta and sauces, again pluses but as I've said above, nothing that really stood out or was unique or of interest to me personally.
