Présentation de l'éditeur

This book is an erotic gay romance. It contains explicit language and lots of steamy sex between two hot guys. For readers 18+ only.

Blake Davis and husband Will are delighted when Ed Fellows turns up at the hospital the night their daughter is born—even if he is covered in mud from playing rugby and drunk out of his skull. Team-mate Colin is the Good Samaritan who drives him there, and when he takes Ed home, Colin finds himself on the receiving end of a blow-job. He has no problem with that whatsoever. He’s been in lust with Ed since Ed joined the rugby team some fourteen months ago. Only thing is, Colin’s assumed up ’til now that Ed is straight. Except the man sucking him off certainly didn’t seem straight….

Talk about the morning after the night before…. Ed awakens to find a nearly-naked Colin asleep on his sofa. The problem is that for some reason, he can’t get Colin out of his mind. Okay, so it wasn’t the first blow-job Ed’s ever gotten from a guy—or given, for that matter—but that was a long time ago, right? And why does Ed now want more?

With friends Rick, Angelo, Blake and Will to advise him, Ed finds himself on a completely unfamiliar road, as he struggles to accept that maybe the line he is walking isn’t as straight as he’d first imagined….

Biographie de l'auteur

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C.Wells always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, where the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings – writing about men in love was even hotter... K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it... it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes. 5.0 étoiles sur 5 Fantastic end to the "Personal" Series... 11 février 2014
Par Mary - Publié sur
KC Wells says this is the last in the "Personal" series.. I am sad to leave the Trinity Publishing world, but this story is a good one to go out on. This is Ed's story, the feisty office manager, but more than that we also get more tidbits from the previous couples, Will & Blake, and Rick & Angelo. This is a tight sweet story that fits in beautifully with Making it Personal, More than Personal, and Personal Changes, without too much angst and a gorgeous HEA without disturbing the HEA's of the others.

I watched in awe how Ed worked through his fears and his amazement of not just being with a man but being in a relationship. I loved the development of Colin and Ed's relationship, I loved the reaction of those closest to them, and I am convinced that we need to be promoting this type of reaction rather than any else. Someone choice of sexual partner does not affect their ability to play sports, love those close to them, their friendships, their work and Ed and Colin's friends and family showcase this for the rest of us to follow.

Whilst not actually a GFY story, as Ed has some MM history, I like the simple message that tags can box you in. Maybe in order to mainstream LGBTQIA we need to lose the tags and labels and just go with, "here is the person/s that I have chosen to love". Ed and Colin's relationship is hot, their sex is hot, and the development from friends to friends with benefits to lovers to partners is full of funny quirky bits and poignant moments. I loved it, thank you KC for this lovely ending to the series ( 8-( does it have to end??)...

5.0 étoiles sur 5 It's Like Coming Home 1 mars 2014

If you've read any of the other books in this series, read this one - it's like coming home. The settings, the secondary characters, even the conflicts, grow out of the previous books. "Personal Secrets" picks up, seamlessly, from where the last one left off. Even so, you can read them out of order or just this one book as a stand-alone. There's enough background to get you started, and not so much that you wallow in the back story waiting for the action to begin in this one. But if, like me, you really enjoyed the other books enough that you didn't want them to end, you won't be disappointed in "Personal Secrets".

This book is part of a marvelous series about a top publishing firm in London and the people who run it. Great characters. Ed has appeared in all the books, as the factotum (the manager, though not CEO) of the publishing house, despite the fact that he sounds uneducated (with the accent of his lower-class upbringing), but has a university degree to prove that, in fact, he's nobody's dummy.

He's fiercely loyal to Blake, the owner of the firm, whom he has known for most of his life. At the start of the book, Blake and his husband, Will, are about to have a baby via surrogate. Ed rushes to the hospital when the baby arrives prematurely. With him is the hunk, Colin, who is his closest mate. He met Colin on the rugby team for which they both play.

So, there's a lot of "Oh my, you mean I may be gay?" going on, and coming out to the team and everyone else in their lives. Colin is already out and proud and provides some valuable guidance and wisdom to the confused and skittish Ed. But these two are destined for each other. From the very beginning, the sex has been fabulous between them. And the sex scenes are surprisingly hot and realistic.

Fortunately, the angst is minimal, as Ed learns to inhabit his true gay self. What was a real pleasure was watching him wrestle with the real questions and issues that confront an LGBT person when they are forced to acknowledge their sexual identity and come out, both privately and publicly. This is no manufactured "romance obstacle", but an utterly believable and sympathetic process that Ed has to get through.

Of course, he does. K. C. Wells almost always writes a happy ending, and "Personal Secrets" is no exception.

This was an extremely pleasant and well-written book about attractive and interesting real-world characters. I recommend it without reservation.

This is the sort of story that I love to curl up in bed with, knowing I'm in for a treat - the story will be sweet, the sex will be hot and the ending will be happy - and Personal Secrets did not disappoint.

For a start, how could you not like Ed? He's big, he plays rugby and he's discovering that he likes - really likes - Colin. I loved Ed and Colin's journey as they discovered how compatible they were sexually but how both were a little unsure of the whole emotional involvement as their relationship headed that way.

This is a story of finding out what the heart wants and the challenges to be faced. For Colin, coming out to the rugby team is relatively easy. He doesn't advertise but he doesn't hide who he is. For Ed, the story is very different and I loved to see his coming out journey - coming out to himself, to his team mates, to his closest friends, to his work colleagues, him mum and the rest of his family. It was emotional without being over the top dramatic.

There was some drama that had a slight soap-opera feel, particularly with Blake's new PA but this could be forgiven in the overall scheme of the story. It was wonderful to see appearances of the characters from the previous books, particularly Blake, Will and their little baby.

This was warm and sexy and a nice end to the series.

Good story line and character development which are not dependent on previous books. This one reads well alone. A bit idealistic since almost everything goes well, but then who doesn't like a happy ending?
