Un livre électronique très bien construit, avec l'essentiel de ce qu'il faut savoir pour connaître les concepts physiques modernes, à l'exception de la relativité générale et de la théorie quantique des champs. Bien documenté, bien illustré, avec juste ce qu'il faut d'équations. Mais on n'évitera pas pour autant des cours plus étoffés si on veut maîtriser dans le détail chaque sujet.

I love physics. What is more, I teach physics. Thus I have made it a point to scan practically every book on physics that claims to explain the subject in a simple manner.

"Boundless" is a series on various subjects, each book created by aggregating material that is in Creative Commons or which enjoys a similar copyright. Thus the material in these books are freely reusable.

I scanned through the book first, and then gave an in depth reading to selected chapters. I find the selection very good, and the explanation reasonably simple, thought not as simple as one finds in "made simple" or "for idiots" type of books. Thus the books are not meant for absolute novices, but rather for those who have some background in physics, and who would love to understand it all in a clearer manner.

I recommend the book to the "motivated beginner" who has some background in physics. He/she will be rewarded greatly.

Extremely generous that this whole library is available for FREE! Great resource for reference and refreshing myself with some basic concepts while working, or helping others with homework.

My only gripe is that I wish this was compatible with more of my devices. I am able to use it on my Motorola Xoom, but i would LOVE to use it on my Kindle Paperwhite, Galaxy S4, or at least on the Kindle Cloud Reader so I have access to this information at work!! Either way, good information available for FREE!

I have ordered several books in this series on different subjects. I have always found them to be well-written and make it easy to understand what are otherwise scientific "mysteries" (at least to me). Highly recommended.

Doesn't waste your time with a bunch of hyperbole, is quick to get to the point. I would recommend it to any curious youngster.
