Présentation de l'éditeur
The FOCUS Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Workbook provides a single comprehensive source for the busy practitioner to meet the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) MOC requirements. The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) introduced the MOC initiative to ensure that specialists offer quality patient care through an ongoing process of improvement. Approved by the ABPN, this workbook will give the practicing psychiatrist the necessary tools to meet Part 2 (Self-Assessment and CME) and Part 4 (Performance in Practice) for patients with a diagnosis of posttraumatic stress disorder. The workbook features a detailed Self-Assessment examination that provides a realistic, evidence-based measure of knowledge and skills, as well as a Performance in Practice Clinical Module that guides the reader through the process of developing an improvement plan and assessing its efficacy. Finally, the workbook presents resources selected by a panel of experts to ensure the reader's knowledge is up-to-date and consistent with the standards of MOC. Providing a superior level of patient care is an ongoing, evolving process. The FOCUS Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Workbook provides the foundation, the information, and the documentation to support the physician engaged in this critical endeavor. The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. APA designates these enduring materials for a maximum of 37 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits[trademark]. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
