*Slight spoilers throughout*
The main conflict is that Sin believes Luccy was going to try to blackmail him for a job, based on what a womanizing creep told him. Luccy was at a business dinner, trying to win a contract and gracefully fend of this (married) man's attentions at the same time. Sin meets Luccy when she is desperately trying not to cause a scene. After Sin and Luccy sleep together, Luccy walks out, which infuriates Sin. In order to find out who she is, he tracks down the creep, who happens to work for him. He then believes said creep when he says Luccy was trying to blackmail the creep for the contract. Now, I'm not even going to get into "the he believes this creep after witnessing him proposition Luccy, and seeing her reaction afterward". He believes this for literally 75% of the book. There are hints of other conflict, like Luccy's fears stemming from her sister's marriage, and the possible arrival of Sin's mother, but they aren't developed. I really feel that the plot was rather flat. It also happened over about 4 days, cumulatively, that they spent together. (There were some gaps in between the time spent together, but they had not known each other long at the end of the book.) Sin's grandfather was present in one scene, and I would have enjoyed seeing more of him.

That said, the plot idea was a relatively believable one, and I did feel that Sin and Luccy had believable chemistry and were compatible. The scenes with the butler were enjoyable. Overall, the book was good, but not great. I wouldn't recommend buying, but I also wouldn't try very hard to dissuade you.

This book was pretty frustrating. I spent the whole time hating Sin and couldn't believe that Luccy would remotely be interested in a guy who treated her that way. Sin went beyond the assertive, protective type and was a plain jerk. The part of the plot where realizes he was wrong was pretty unbelievable too...

Not a bad book .. I certainly liked Wallace, he at least didn't make me want to strangle him, kick him, or muzzle him ...
