Présentation de l'éditeur

Burned, the twelfth installment in Sara Shepard's YA Pretty Little Liars series, is packed with thrilling secrets and spicy scandals. This #1 New York Times bestselling series is also a hit ABC Family original TV show.

High school seniors Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer have made some terrible mistakes, but nothing compares to what they did last spring break.

Now the girls are packing their bags for a Caribbean cruise, hoping the trip will be a much-needed vacation from their stalker, A. But they should know by now that A won't be left high and dry.

Sure enough, A shows up on deck, ready to send these pretty little liars to a watery grave. . . . .

Needs to end 31 janvier 2013

I started reading this series back in high school and I'm now 23. I don't know if its because I'm older or what but I am so ready for the series to just end. I loved it when a new PLL book would be released, but this one was such a let down. I normally finish these books in a day or so and it took me weeks to get through this one. At this point I'm just reading them out of obligation. When Sara Shephard wrote books 5-8, she did a great job of continuing the story. Books 9-12 are all over the place, confusing, and incredibly unbelievable! The characters seem to act irrational and they no longer seem to have the same characteristics as they did in earlier books. It's definitely time to end the series. Reading a book out of obligation is no fun!

A is just getting wArmed up. 5 décembre 2012

***Spoiler free***

This was such a good read. If you've read the books up until now, then you know what to expect.

In this go around, there are a few High Schools that are going on an eco friendly cruise, and some of the things they do on the cruise will be used for class credit. Rosewood is one of the schools that goes, and where Rosewood goes, A is sure to follow.

Hanna-A good part of the story is focused on Hanna. Something she does early on in the book plays a key role on the plot. Something happens, and Hanna and the Pretty Little Liars thinks nobody saw it, but of course A did, and uses it as a weapon against the Pretty Little Liars. When she's on the cruise, she runs into someone from her past, and trusts her, but is that a mistake?

Spencer-She continues her friendship with Reefer, and someone besides A, sets their sights on Spencer and will do anything to take her out.

Aria-She starts us a friendship with someone, but at what cost? Then she's given something that will change her life.

Emily-Is getting very close to someone she met on the cruise, but this person has secrets that she has to keep to herself, at all costs.

With all of this going on, the Pretty Little Liars realize that A is on the ship and they try to find out who A is. The problem is that A is set to spill all of the Pretty Little Liars secrets at any given time. That's all I really want to say about the plot, anything more, and I'd be giving things away.

I was glad to see that The Jamaican Thing is still in play. We learn more about that, and some pretty hard choices that The Pretty Little Liars have to make.

This book sets up the next on in the series, Crushed, beautifully. Again, I can't say too much because it would be spoilers. Crushed comes out June 4, 2013. Now, that being said, on Jan. 2, 2013 comes out Pretty Little Liars:Pretty Little Secrets Book 2. This is a prequel to the series, and its' from Ali's point of view.

If you buy the book, and take off the dust jacket, you'll get a special message from A!

If you've read all the books, then you know what to expect, and won't be let down. Let's face it, this is A's world, and we just live in it.

Same old, same old... 5 janvier 2013

I love the PLL books, but after a long time reading them it's starting to get monotonous. I thought this would be the last book, unfortunately I felt like the author is stretching the story to a point just to make a profit of it.

Too much of a filler 20 décembre 2012

Love the PLL series but there is so much filler that it's not keeping my attention as much as the first 8 books. However, it has left me wondering yet again who A is and can't wait for next book.

Disappointing *Contains Spoilers* 6 février 2013

I was very disappointed that this was not the last book of the series, to make things worse it didn't even keep the reader guessing and just seemed like a pointless book. Just like the TV series, this book seems to reveal almost nothing. This is the worse book of the series in my personal opinion. It seems pretty clear now that the author is just doing these extra books for money and no longer the preservation of the story.

*Spoilers!*

It was obvious A was not Naomi. The book was headed in the "Naomi is A" direction for a large amount of the book and from reading the previous books it's obvious that it's never the person they think it is. I'm just surprised Naomi didn't get killed by the liars. The part of the book that makes me the most happy is that Emily finally revealed she left the door open in the Poconos for Ali to possibly escape. I hate that Emily did that in the first place but thank goodness it's finally out in the air.
This series really needs to end. I really hope that at the end of this all they reveal why this is happening to the 4 liars, are they really that bad that they need to be tortured like this?
