It Rocks! 10 juin 2000
Par Brad - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
What to say about the best band in the world, Garbage. I am collecting all of Garbage's B-side tracks at the moment, and I am so glad that I bought this one. Shirley amazes me all the time with her sassy, vixen-like approach to vocals on "Queer", and the song "Trip My Wire" is just fantastic. Amust have addition to a collection of any Garbage fan, because the remixes are great too. Buy Buy Buy!

A great single all around 7 octobre 2002
Par Mike - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
The number one reason you're looking into purchasing this single is most likely because of the B-side it contains. An amazing one at that, "Trip My Wire" is one of the best songs Garbage has ever recorded, and it's a shame it's status as a B-side hasn't garnered it more recognition, which it definitely deserves.
"Trip My Wire" is a very heavy, complicated and unbalanced song, and that's what makes it so great. Shirley vocals differ radically from beginning to end, going from dominant to hysterical in a matter of minutes. This is an amazing sample of what Garbage is capable of, and you should best snatch it up before it's not so readily available for your listening pleasure.
The first remix of Queer (The Very Queer Dub-Bin Version) is very good. It has a lot in common with the original, but it's different enough to stand out on it's own. The second (The Most Beautiful Woman in Town Mix), on the other hand, is almost completely different and puts a whole new spin on the original song. A great remix as well.
All in all, this single contains one amazing B-side, and two great remixes. What more could you possibly ask for? If you consider yourself a serious Garbage fan, it would be a sure bet to add this to your collection, of which it would most likely become the jewel of.

Completes the pair of Garbage's best CD single set 7 octobre 2002
Par Mike - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
In my opinion, Queer is the best CD single set Garbage has released thus far. Both contain great B-sides, great remixes and not to mention "Queer," which is undeniably one the best songs off their debut. And while I consider Pt. 1 to be superior to Pt. 2, it's still an great piece of work.
While "Butterfly Collector" is a cover of a song originally by The Jam, Garbage sure has made it their own. It's dark and heavy, one of their shining achievements as far as B-sides go. If you're a "B-side Collector," this one would make an excellent addition to your collection.
The first remix that shows up is the F.T.F.O.I. mix. It's boring and drawn-out to say the least. Without a doubt, the least interesting of the Queer remixes, which are some of the better of the Garbage remixes out there. Not much else to say about this one...
The Danny Saber Mix more than makes up for the dissapointment of the previous remix. Although it can get a bit repetative, it's still a great remix.
While one of the remixes pales in comparison to the others, there's more than enough on this single to make up for it. Be sure to pick up Pt. 1 to make the set complete! You won't be dissapointed!
Butterfly Collector 4 août 2002
Par Olly Buxton - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
You might like to know that "Butterfly Collector" is a cover of the 1980s track by that spectacular bunch of post-punk Mods, the Jam. I haven't managed to listen to Garbage's version, but they're the right sort of band to do it. If you like this, and you're a keen to dig a little into British Rock history (it used to be pretty tough, you know), you should check out the original Jam version, as it's a great song from a great band.
The Jam is long gone but its lead singer - and author of The Butterfly Collector - Paul Weller is still around and periodically releases albums. The most recent, Heliocentric, is not at all bad in a sensible late thirties kind of way. A good one for fathers' day, maybe.
Great single, worthy buy for fans 27 mai 2003
Par Darryl Da Silva - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
One of Garbage's best singles, "Queer", is given the remix treatment on not one but two CD singles. This one features the B-side "Trip My Wire", as well as the album version of "Queer" and two remixes. "Trip My Wire" is quite good, with lots of the electronic influences present on the band's 1998 album "Version 2.0". The remixes, thankfully, are actually quite interesting, rather than just the mindless techno ramblings that remixes usually consist of. Both "The Very Queer Dub Bin" and "The Most Beautiful Girl In Town" mixes offer up a different view of an already great song. Overall, a must-have for serious fans, and definitely worth a look for casual listeners.
