A foolish masterpiece! 16 mai 2005
Par Andre M. - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
This is one of the most delightfully stupid recordings of all time. Funky and foolish! George Clinton (fool master George, as I call him) goes wild in a satire of the VERY sad state of R&B in the 80s, the days when synthesizer bangers stole the soul. Lots of Pedro Bell's cartoon madness on the cover.

But the songs are even wilder than before (and for Clinton and co., that is saying a lot!). "Hey Good Lookin'" retunred Vanessa Williams to prominence with her vocals on this one. "Do Fries Go With That Shake" ROCKED the summer of 1986, adding a much needed shot in the arm to Soul radio stations of the time. But my favorite here is the incredibly (intentionally)ridiculous "Mixmaster Suite." My friends and I at the University of South Carolina would HOWL at this one! Clinton truly let the jackasses out of the gate to hee haw in the recording studio and unlike much of the mechanical mess that passed for R&B at the time (which the tune satirizes), this is (intentionally) so bad that you will pound the floor in laughter at this one! Ya gotta love it! Get it and you'll see what I mean!

Funk to the max! 18 octobre 2005
Par Reginald Mcinnis - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
I really liked this funk filled CD with the P-Funk mob giving up the P."Hey Good Looking" has funk, bass,Bootsy Collins and a beautiful vocalist singer named Vanessa Williams on ths track.Great songs include "Do Fries Go With That Shake" and "R & B Skeletons in the Closet".What I really like about this CD is the artwork cover & comics by Pedro Bell and the commentary by George Clinton about the state of pop & black music which is very funny and sad in the late 80's.If you don't have this CD, add it to your P-Funk collection...you won't regret it.

Not that good, but rare. 1 octobre 2006
Par EP - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
"Cool Joe", "Do Fries Go Wit That Shake", and "Hey Good Lookin" are the only good songs on this album, BUT it's the most rare George Clinton ever released on CD.
not the best but okay pretty decent album 12 septembre 2008

p funk was really underrground but still the only weakness was it was the 80's and georghe was trying too hard to fit into the 80's pop scener which was ruled by michael jackson, prince, and rap music was on the come up anyway stevie washinton from slave helped produce this album but still it's good vanessa williams you know the first black miss america funked around here on hey good looking the synth bass teracks and electronic handclaps are dope and still when p funk is toned down they still hit harder thaN OTHER FUNK GROUPS TOO BAD 80's p funk ain't more appreciated but stillgeorge m,ade his clones take notes other cuts are do fries go with that shake and cool joe worth listerning if you're a p funk fanatioc.
Dancable Madness 23 septembre 2003
Par Andre' S Grindle - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
The tital is a quote I heard somewhere that best describes this album-on trcaks like "Hey Good Lookin'","Insane" and the
classic "Do Fries Go With that Shake" bring P-Funk into the 80's
by incorperating modern hip-hop and dance-pop textures to the
annals of THE BOMB.Worth hearing but go to "Computer Games" first.
