Would be cheaper to google all the individual pull up exercises. This book only explains how to do different pull-ups. I like Al and his training, but I thought this book would be better. Disappointed.

Wonderfully refreshing look at pullups, dips, hanging leg raises, and related exercises. A great book if your motivation is lacking or lagging, or your current regimen has lost its luster. Kavadlo is a genial author, enjoyable and encouraging to read. He has a wonderful knack for keeping it all simple. The exercises, workouts and regimens in this book are all understandable and inviting. And they are, as the author writes, all you really need to do for your upper body. Also, as another reviewer has already pointed out, Kavadlo has other books but, unlike so many other strength and fitness authors (especially those published by Dragondoor), he isn't constantly plugging them. In fact, he doesn't even mention them, as far as I can recall. Four and a half stars.

I enjoyed his back to basics simple approach.The gym with its crowds, grew boring.The great thing is showing your kids the skills and enjoying a friendly competion with them at the park.Raising the bar for myself is important.Al is really good at motivater.Nice side effect,I tested my deadlift which has gone up.Perhaps from the back levers.My friend worked at a prison and said they did these type of workouts and were jacked!Working on the flag movement,it's a beast!Can't wait to impress younger family members with it.

I am a big fan of bodyweight training, and what once was a exercise i hated in the past i love which is pullups. I was so hung up on lifting weights that i thought bodyweight training was a joke. Best believe i was wrong. I am much stronger now than i ever was and it is no thanks to weights, it is all bodyweight training. If you want pure strength and everyday life training than i highly recommend this book. trust me you will not regret it, stick with it and in moments of pain overcome it. pain is weakness leaving the body.

Awesome info. Well worth your time to read if you're at all interested in bodyweight training and/or progressive calisthenics. You will not be disappointed.
