Présentation de l'éditeur

Kathleen Turner wasn’t expecting to fall in love when she came to Indianapolis a year ago, much less with two very different men. And not just any men: brothers.

Blane Kirk, former SEAL turned attorney, is every woman’s dream man. He’s also a playboy who changes women as often as he changes his tie, and trying to hold on to Blane could only break Kathleen’s heart.

Commitment is a foreign word to Kade Dennon, assassin-for-hire and genius hacker, and nothing about him is safe. A future with Kade would surely end in disaster—for both of them.

Past betrayals come to a head, and the choice Kathleen makes could sign her death warrant. Everything’s at stake as Blane, Kade, and Kathleen reach the Point of No Return.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 No Spoilers Were Used in the Creation of This Review -- 3.5 Stars Worth Buying if You Enjoyed the Previous Books 22 mai 2014

"Sooner or later, you`ll choose," he whispered. "You`ll want one of us more than you don`t want to hurt the other. And you`ll choose. I want to be the one you can`t live without."

This, of course, if the reason to buy the fifth book in the Kathleen Turner series -- to find out who Kathleen is going to choose. If you enjoyed the previous books, then purchasing this one is a no-brainer.

I liked the previous books so much that I reread them prior to reading Point of No Return. It`s pretty clear as the series develops that this is going to be an unusual kind of love-triangle. While not a particular fan of the whole, "I can`t decide which flavour I like best" genre, it seems like there could be worse problems to have than to select one of the two hunky, rich guys who are madly in love with you. Without being a diehard Team Blane or Team Kade member, it seemed to me that there were a number of clues about who Kat would choose. I just wanted to see how it happened.

Much of the action throughout the series is somewhat over the top, but without going too far over the believability line. Kat Turner would definitely win the award for the heroine with the most concussions. There is much to enjoy about the characters, their interactions, and the mayhem that ensues. This, though, is the first book where I rolled my eyes a couple of times about decisions that were made that did not make sense. If a bad guy assaults you and the attack is recorded, it would seem obvious that going to the police with the evidence makes sense. There were two or three frustrating incidents that left me shaking my head. I think the book would have been much more believable with at least one less villain. At some point, instead of being suspenseful, the continued threats to life and limb become mundane.

I guess that is why that I was somewhat disappointed with the fifth book. It has nothing to do with Kat being the ham in a hunky sandwich or being disappointed about which brother gets the girl. My issue is that Kathleen doesn`t seem to grow in Books 4 or 5. I would have loved to see her mature and become a stronger woman. She refers to the house she bought on her own, when in reality, she doesn`t make any decisions until her bank account has millions of dollars in it. How independent is that? At times, I thought Kat was treating the brothers as if she was a mortgage broker. Her repeated lament about what was "offered or not offered" didn`t feel very romantic.

I`m not sure Branna`s character added much to the story-line. Her connection to what is happening seems forced. There are overly long descriptions about who sat next to whom and other details that didn`t advance the plot. HOWEVER, at about 98% of the book, just when I thought things had been wrapped up a little too smoothly, Ms. Snow does a great job explaining the life of the brother not chosen. He comes to understand that his life is richer and better for having known Kathleen and continuing to have her in it. I found it sad, but fitting.

The fact that Point of No Return falls a little short of what I expected, does nothing to change the fact that Tiffany Snow has created a memorable series that brought me much pleasure as a reader.

Like many fans of The Kathleen Turner Series I was anxiously waiting for the release of the final book in the series. I am hurt that people who didn't like the ending are being downright mean to the author. It's a love triangle, someone won't get the girl, that is the way it works. I applaud Tiffany on sticking to her guns and writing the ending she envisioned, not the "safe" one. I truly loved the whole series and it will remain as one of my favorites for a very long time. I also think the negative comments are proof of what good writer Tiffany is, she's made the readers so invested on the series that people are hurt and feel betrayed because "their guy" didn't get the girl. I highly recommend the whole series, it is extremely well-written and the characters are very believable.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Brilliantly written...beautiful ending 21 mai 2014

Fans of this series will be eager to see it's conclusion, but I encourage you to read it slowly and take it all in.

This book is expertly written by an awesome author. Her ability to create believable action scenes, characters we care about, and a plot line with twists that will have you asking what on earth could happen next is astounding. This is truly an author that writes well. And I look forward to reading her whatever she writes in the future.

Do not rush through this book. It is compounded with emotions, answers to questions readers have been wondering (and the characters in the book have been wondering) for 4 whole other books. Enjoy every moment.

To other fans, the point is not 'who' Kathleen is with at the end of this book. The point I believe the author was making through it all is how love ultimately changes the core of who we are for the better. Not everyone will be happy with who Kathleen chooses at the end, but I am happy that the author gives each character they're own 'happily ever after' in their own way.

I am sad to see an end to this series, but want to encourage other readers to read with an open mind.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 An incredible ending to a phenomenal series! 20 mai 2014

As a huge fan of the Kathleen Turner series, I was given everything I could want in a final book: action, longing, redemption, salvation, truth, revenge, angst, and ultimately love unwavering. Point of No Return has left me sated and filled with such love for these characters that I want to begin the entire series all over again.

I know many have picked a team. Whether it’s Kade or Blane you rooted for, or if you switched back and forth between books I think you will all be satisfied. I tend to think of myself as team Kathleen. The young girl from book one isn’t the same person in the final book. She has grown into herself and into self-assuredness. She is a woman now - one who needed to forge her own path and make her own decisions based on her own life and not those of the men in it. I love this Kathleen.

What I also found to be enlightening was the shift in both Kade and Blane. How Kade coming so close to death affected them both. Both men have to reflect on their lives and decisions they have made. It has made for a powerful self discovery for them both.

Now for the good stuff. Sexy time was off the charts! The action was heart-racing (I swear to you at one point I heard Bonnie Tyler singing in the background). As for our boys? Blane as a-take-no-shh- Alpha is amazaballs. And Kade’s snarky one-liners had me doing the *giggle snort* throughout the entire read. I really am going to miss these two. The wit and the charm was one of the best features Tiffany Snow bestowed upon her characters. If you haven’t read anything from this author I suggest this be the start of your love affair with her. At this point I would read her shopping list and rate it five stars. She is just that good.

I am sad to see the series end, but am eternally grateful to be able to list this as one of my all time favorites. It’s bitter sweet letting a series go, but the love letter that is Point of No Return is a testament to the author and her ability.

5 Stars for Point of No Return and 5 unwavering stars for the series as a whole!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Hard to Say Good-Bye ! 20 mai 2014

December 2012 had me looking for something to read. I saw a recommendation from one of my favorite authors, Jennifer L Armentrout singing the praises of Tiffany Snow's Kathleen Turner series. I read the blurb on Amazon and was intrigued. I loved No Turning Back from the first page and the first fall into Blane's lap with the infamous "Oops." I could not get enough of the series and eagerly waited for the next installment to see what would happen to Kathleen and the brothers that loved her.

It's no secret if you know me that I am a member of Team Blane. Have been from Day One and no matter what happens will still wave my Blane flag. It's very rare for me to get so emotionally invested in a series to the point that I get nervous pangs in my stomach before reading the new book. I was only that way one other time and that was with the Harry Potter series. I was a huge fan of those books and while romance was not a huge part of that series, I always hoped that Harry would fall in love with Hermione. That did not happen and to say I was disappointed and emotionally gutted is an understatement. Though angry at how it did not end how I liked, I still consider that series one of the best I've ever read.

Tiffany Snow made me feel the exact same way with this series. I was Team Blane from Day One and Team Blane here on the final chapter. I had hopes that he would find some way to win back Kathleen and they would find their happily ever after. Sadly, this was not meant to be. I was crushed as I read the breakup scene early in the book and am not ashamed that I cried. For a writer to make you feel that way--- to feel the pain and heartache of one of the characters, that writer is doing something right.

I am sad to see this series end. It was bittersweet to read the epilogue and see that Blane still very much carries a torch for his now sister-in-law, but he is making the best of what could be the most awkward situation in the world. This book only reinforced my love for the character of Blane Kirk and the good man that he is and always has been. I get teary-eyed just thinking about that epilogue.

So, no, this story did not end like I wanted. But, I would never regret taking the chance to read this book and this series. I am grateful that I let Kathleen, Blane and Kade into my life. I am glad that they made it through alive and that Blane and Kade found a way to still be brothers. That was one of the most important things in the books to me. I hated seeing them torn apart over their love for the same woman.

After reading this final book, I had no idea how I would rate it or even be able to string together words to put into it what it meant to me.
I am giving it a five-star review for the incredible journey these characters went on and for the way the story emotionally captivated me.
Tiffany Snow, you broke my heart with this series and for that, you do deserve five stars times infinity. This series created a passionate fan-base on both sides with women willing to fight over the right guy for Kathleen. I can see past my sadness over not getting the ending I wanted, to appreciating the amazing series that the Kathleen Turner series was.
