Présentation de l'éditeur

Amazon bestselling author Ethan Jones delivers ROGUE AGENTS, the new pulse-pounding thriller of the summer.

After a nuclear incident in Pakistan, two agents of the Canadian Intelligence Service disappear during a covert operation in South Korea. They end up in a prison camp in North Korea, where they are being tortured so they can reveal top secret intelligence.

Justin Hall and Carrie O’Connor, CIS best field operatives, who have just returned from a terrorist-hunting mission in Syria, are ordered to infiltrate the most hostile nation in the world. Their objective is like nothing they have faced before: assassinate the two captured agents, one of whom is a good friend of Justin.

Justin and Carrie consider their allegiances and the consequences of their operation, as they join forces with a North Korean defector and two MI6 agents familiar with the treacherous terrain of the Communist country. Then they come upon new intelligence that complicates their almost impossible mission. It is now a race against time to reach the captured agents before it is too late.

Ethan Jones confirms that he is one of the exciting thriller writers at work today with this adrenaline-filled spy thriller, the fifth novel in the popular Justin Hall series.

This is a special preview containing only the first 50 pages of ROGUE AGENTS, which will be released on July 1, 2014.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Rogue Agents, Justin and Carrie are at it again. Delightfully so. 4 juin 2014

In full disclosure, I was encouraged to review and given the first 50 pages of this soon to be released book. It was the best 30 minutes I've had in awhile. I am now eagerly awaiting July when the entire book will become available to us all. The team remains unchanged so we are getting attached to Justin and Carrie, if I could look for anything it would be a bit more development of Carrie. But we all understand that Justin is the hero here, and that the "here" where this adventure will be played out is in the hidden country of North Korea. It will be interesting to see how Ethan deals with the cone of silence that the North Korean régime tries so desperately to hold over their activities. It is always a curiosity to observe Canadian politics and compare them to the US...Given past successes my time and money are on Ethan and I'll be lining up in July for the full version and recommend that you do too.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Mission Impossible - yes, it really is, but don't let that bother our CIS agents! 23 juillet 2014

This appears to be the fifth in the series involving the Canadian agents Justin and Carrie, who at home are mild-mannered and somewhat non-descript, so my first thoughts were, what's with the title? It soon turns out that the rogues are two others, caught up in a plot by sources of questionable ethics to acquire enriched uranium oxide (I am not quite sure why – processed uranium would be more useful) and then become residents of a North Korean prison. Justin and Carrie have to do something about these two. Yep, "Mission Impossible" rides again, only this time, in principle, it should be really impossible. In fact Plan A should not work; it does not so they resort to plan B. Oops, no plan B so improvise. For the discerning reader, try to work out why neither of these plans should work. On the other hand, it is a great read without making any effort. The book is an action thriller that is very well written and Jones manages one of the longer action sequences I have seen. The North Koreans do not exactly shine, nevertheless the strategy employed is reasonable, even if it does require some rather stodgy Koreans. The book starts with two basic strands, and although to start with you might wonder how these can come together, at the end they do, and quite plausibly. The writing is fluid and is very easy to read, and the pages fly. Excellent reading for vacation spare time, and pretty good for other times too.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 ANOTHER ACTION-PACKED EPISODE 11 juin 2014

Justin, Carrie and team are back! The book opens in Pakistan as the Chinese are attempting to buy enriched uranium, the sale does not go as planned and there are deaths on both sides. From there we move to Syria where Justin and team mange to save a young man from being beheaded; then they manage to escape while the enemy is shooting at them and firing RPG's to destroy their vehicle. The scene then moves to Canada where we find that there are two agents who have been captured by North Korea and are being tortured to reveal the information that they have. Justin and Carrie are ordered to try to complete the other two agents mission, to get a North Korean nuclear scientist to agree to defect with his family. They are also ordered to kill the two agents who have been captured. They are joined by to MI6 agents who have special skills that will help them on this mission. While this is one of the shortest Justin Hall, it is also one of the most action-packed novels. There are only a few pages where we see these characters doing things that do not pertain to their jobs. In this novel we see a bit more of Anna and I think that as the novels progress she will become a more central figure to the storylines.

If you are a fan of Jack Bauer of "24" fame, the Mitch Rapp books by the late Vince Flynn, you will love Ethan Jones' "Justin Hall" series. The first 50 pages in this preview had me on the edge of my seat - much as did the previous Justin Hall books. Simply put, I can't wait until the full book is released. With each of EJ's books, I've read them cover to cover (via Kindle) non-stop. I wish he'd write faster, producing more books in less time.

Well developed characters, heart stopping action, completely believable situations. Justin and Carrie make a great team, along with the rest of their crew when accompanying them in the field.
4.0 étoiles sur 5 Great Book but unhappy with the ending 16 février 2015

I've read all the books thus far and it ends with a questionable ending so now we DON'T know the fate of two agents ??? This better not end this way or it may be the last book I read. Needed some type of intro to the next book but nothing here. I enjoyed his writing style and if book #6 is a continuation of the story, I'll apologize then, if remembered. I recommend Books #1 thru #5 thus far if you enjoy fast paced, action, humor, and love of one's country to be the best attribute.
