Hey, this was a great read! This book contained a lot of easily digestible information about what foods to eat and what our body truly needs in order to function to its full capacity. It also mentioned some runner injuries that one need to be aware of when embarking on this journey of running. All in all, it was a motivational piece of writing and a great source of inspiration as well. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone out there seeking a more healthy lifestyle.

Run Your Ass Off not only has a clever title, it's loaded with everything you need to get inspired to start running. The author does a great job talking about the benefits of running, how you should fuel your body, take action steps, and even common injuries to watch out for.
Just a great guide to get you started. If you are pondering reasons to get active- this books definitely for you!

Buying this book couldn't have been more timely for me. I've wanted to get back into running for some time and just recently purchased a new pair of running shoes. Shortly after that I found this book on Amazon and I'm certainly glad that I did.

I am at the point where I want to get in too much better shape and I knew from past experience that there is absolutely nothing that helps you shed the pounds like running.

In his book, Max points out many important aspects of running that you should know before you begin your exciting running journey. The key items of the book that sparked my interest were injury prevention, proper nutrition, as well as other workouts to enhance my running experience. Injury prevention was particularly important to me as an injury in the past sidelined me from running for over two weeks.

Max also covers the crucially important topic of staying hydrated. This particular topic is definitely not to be taken lightly. Proper hydration will not only enhance your enjoyment of your run, but your performance as well.

I loved Max's coverage of proper nutrition. This is something that many of those who run don't take as seriously as they should. What you eat can mean the difference between a just okay running experience and outstanding running experience.

I found the coverage of the different running exercises to be invaluable. Two of my favorites are stair running as well as high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Both of these are great when you want to build your strength through an intense running workout. Also, because of the intensity of these two particular workouts you can burn many more calories in a shorter period of time.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who either wants to start running or someone who wants to get back out there and start running again.

Yes! This short (70+ pages) book could save your life. It's true. The author starts with the "Top 5 Reasons You Should Run To Lose Weight". It really should be the Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Run. All five are very good reasons but number three got my attention, "Decreased Risk Of Major Health Concerns" The author list some research from Stanford University School of Medical. Runners have a 39% less risk of early death. Running Smokers can add 4.1 years to their life. Running Cancer Survivors can add 5.3 years and those with Heart Disease can add 4.3 years. You can add years to your life regardless of your current problems. This is not speculation... this is proven clinical research. Do you really need a better reason to run than this?

The rest of the book could be called "Everything You Want To Know About Running. He covers all bases, what to wear, proper running form, different running exercises and even handling running injuries. He gives detailed instructions for special non-running exercises you can do you can do to improve your running. Lots of positive support to get you out and running.

He devotes a chapter about the importance of monitoring your heart while running, even if you have a perfect heart you want to give it the proper exercise. There are four Heart Rate Zones you should know about, even if you don't run.

This book is outstanding and should be included in our educational system. Highly recommended!
