The book is nice, the scarves are beautiful, the pictures are not quite as bad as some of the commentaries on Amazon.com say (but they could be better) and I'm knitting my second scarf from this book.
BUT - I would like to put up a BIG warning sign for anybody who has not learnt to knit from an English-language source: The explanations are given with standard knitting abbreviations and not all of them are explained in the (otherwise very helpful) glossary. Be prepared to look up another source unless you are an experienced knitter and can figure out the meanings from the look of the scarf.
Otherwise it's a very good book, and I especially like the "Design Notebook" in the back - 11 pages of tips for designing your own scarf.
