This is a helpful little guide that shows how one can properly prepare and organizes one's flight training. The book is quite short but does give some good info and encouragement on becoming a pilot. It explains what kind of budget you will need and some clever way to save money and get some services for free, and tells you the different licenses you will need and how to go about getting them. If you are thinking of becoming a pilot but have no idea where to begin then this book is worth checking out.

I also highly recommend Les Batchelor's new book How To Become A Pilot On A Budget (Your A To Z Guide To Pilots Licences, Pilot Training and How To Become An Airline Pilot), which is a comprehensive guide to becoming a pilot and covers all aspects of flying training in detail.
3.0 étoiles sur 5 Informative, but very specific to the United Kingdom 28 septembre 2013

This pamphlet does what it claims, but the focus is exclusively narrowed to licensing in the United Kingdom. Only cursory mention is made of getting licensed anywhere else.

I did not learn any useful info from this book. Basically, all it told the reader was to come up with a plan to organize your training. That seems elementary to me. I was expecting practical tips on specific ways to save money.
