Description de l'ouvrage

18 mars 2010

Imagine being able to achieve the perfect mental state to make your best possible swing over every shot - stepping up fearlessly, with an inner calm that allows you to play great golf every time you stand over the ball.

Now, Robin Sieger, a lifelong golfer who also happens to be one of the world's leading motivational speakers, removes the mystery behind the mental prowess that lies at the heart of peak performance.

Too often golfers concentrate all their efforts on technique, in the belief that it is only the mechanics of the game they need to master. Instead, using easy-to-follow exercises and inspiring examples drawn from the lives of golf’s greatest players, Robin's silent mind approach focuses on developing the single most neglected, least understood, but ultimately decisive dimension of the game: mental strength.

A practical, jargon-free guide to mental conditioning that will enable any golfer, whether weekend hacker or full-time professional, to understand the dynamics crucial to getting into the ‘zone’, Silent Mind Golf reveals how to empty your mind and play golf instinctively.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Get Your Head Out Of Your Game 25 juin 2011
Par matt barr - Publié sur
I'm a single digit golfer who has struggled with consistency throughout an entire round. As the saying goes, it's the wizard not the wand and it's definitely true in my case. My inability to shake off a bad hole was really hampering my success. This book helped me to get my head out of the game and to go quiet with each shot in an effort to "stay in the moment" throughout a round. I've often heard that term uttered by pros, but frankly thought it was psychobabble. I'm now a believer! If you are looking for a way to get the most out of your game by getting your head out of it, Silent Mind Golf is your answer. Play well.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great Book for all Golfers 1 novembre 2011

I've had this book for some time and it's really helped my game. It's simple way of highlighting the mental game has been really beneficial to all aspects of my game from driving to putting. The writing style is easy to understand and easy to put into practice. Basically it's golf stripped down by taking the main focus away from technique and instead concentrating on the mental aspect of the game. And it works. For all golfers, I also recommend Ben Hogan's timeless classic "Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf".

I read with interest Robin Seiger's Silent Mind Golf. I am athletic and successful in many areas and on many levels but golf is my nemesis.
I have applied a sample of Mr. Seiger's approach to the mental side of golf and have shown steady improvement. I need to give the credit for a well written and decisive take on golfing and getting better at it.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 This book will help you score better. 29 juillet 2011

I'd been playing really badly lately and missing a lot of short putts. Feeling frustrated, without direction and ready to hang it up when I picked up this book. I always knew that the 6" between my ears was a big part of my high scores, but before this book I didn't really have a systematic approach to building my confidence. If you have trouble with confidence on the course, it's a good, fast, read that will help you. Excellent visualization tips and a meditation CD included.

I have read this book two time's, and still find it nice reading. Not that I can always take to the course what it is trying to teach, but I find myself (mysteriously) a better golfer. Good reading, I recommend it for those who enjoy the game of Golf.
