From AudioFile
Adaptations of six original adventures of boy-reporter Tintin and his dog, Snowy, take them from the high seas to the Sahara, from Tibet to the moon. The script is taken directly from several 1960's comic books by Belgian author Hergé, translated from the French. Without the benefit of Hergé's illustrations, the lack of narrative descriptions gives the listener the added challenge of trying to follow the fast- changing scenes. The performances, however, are wonderful, with Richard Pearce as Tintin, a playful Andrew Sachs as the panting and barking Snowy, and the inimitable Leo McKern as Captain Haddock. S.E.S.
