No wasted pages on introductions. straight to the music from page one, awesome. I myself have just recently starting nailing riffs on guitar and of course i buy a slayer tab book. its a perfect collection of amazing songs, some much harder then others. i cannot play the solos yet but thats not why i bought it. slayers riffs are learnable but thier very fast for the most part and i find that making the jump from just learning to learning slayer is helping me more so then anything. the transitions have to be lightining fast and it'll definitly force you to speed up and tighten your picking. its a damn good book for anyone looking to melt faces!

First of all this book is pretty accurate and printed very well on bright white paper, this is important since it makes the notes and tab easier to read. The song selection is pretty good, has some great picks out of Slayer's earlier works. As far as a beginner book I would say NO BUT, buy it anyway, a few songs you can break down the bars and practice, like Seasons in the Abyss and South of Heaven, some others are very advanced. Another reason why this is a buy is sometimes TAB books have a habit of vanishing for long periods of time to just about forever.

cool book but very advanced. sometimes it doesnt clearly title the riffs as in "figure 5" but you can figure it out.
to play these songs youll need a guitar with a floyd rose or a kahler but a floyd is better. youll need emgs in the 81/ 85 or just two 81's. your guitar will need 24 frets that can be reached easiely. and finaly youll need a good amp (marshall, mesa, randall) with good drive or a metal zone or tube screamer.
