The author stated the book's intention was to entertain while sharing relevant information. The book had humor and raised some good points. It was worth the 30 minutes to read it.

I found this book so funny, I cried. It has some good ideas, surrounded by a whole lot of waffle. Was a very quick read. It had a 'send-up/spoof' feel to it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was food for thought. Sometimes it is best to use humor and jokes to get a point across and this book does it well. I had to step back and reexamine my goals and objectives after reading this book. Also, I realized my business plan was not well written. Would recommend this book to anyone who wants to "BYOB".

I'm not sure how one reviewer cried with laughter. I merely cried. Larry Flint's stated purpose was to write short humorous ebooks about money. I suggest the author find something else to write about. While I'm old enough to understand that "The Boss" and "Easy Street Band" were supposed to be jokes on Bruce Springstein's nickname and his band they aren't presented in the right context to be even vaguely amusing. The rest of the one liners and other apparent jokes, particularly in his discussion on delegation, so seriously disrupt the flow of his ideas that his point is completely lost. There are other sections in the book in which the author makes himself look seriously foolish as well, such as his discussion of how he wasn't going back to the library to get the information on Trump's chairs and "if this wasn't funny to you blame the weather". In it's totality the work is particularly sad. The author appears to have had some valid points, a few solid demonstrations of those points, and might even be a credible author on the subject of money but, without a serious rewrite, we'll never know.
3.0 étoiles sur 5 Two reviews in one 31 décembre 2012

This review covers two books by Larry R. Flint--The 7 Sneaky Habits of Highly Annoying Millionaire$ Next Door (2012) and Think & Grow Annoyingly Rich (2012).

There are two reasons to combine the reviews of these two books. One, I read them back to back on the smae night. Two and most important, my comments apply equally to both books.

The 7 Sneaky Habits of Highly Annoying Millionaire$ Next Door and Think and Grow Annoyingly Rich are spoofs of books such as the Millionaire Next Door, Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, and Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

The two books are mildly entertaining in the sense that they are quick reads, and the chapters are thankfully short; therefore if one joke fails, the next joke is not far behind. Humor being a personal standard is hard to judge--the author seems to think that humor is bad punctuation, misremembered references, and bad puns. Sometimes, it worked--sometimes, it didn't. If your eyes bleed when you see commas and semi-colons misused, do not read this book.

The interesting thing to note about these two books is that despite being humor, there are some interesting subjects to think about that these books mention in passing. For instance, I used to know some people who were proud of the fact that they were screwing the tax man by getting paid under the table--it never occured to me that they will end up paying a penalty for this behavior when it comes time for them to collect social security. Nevertheless, these books are humor, and not necessarily humor that is witty.

Personally, I would not pay more than 99 cents apiece for these books; therefore, I find that their regular price to be too much. Still I am going to give them three out of five stars because some of the humor did make me think, or at least smile on occasion.

[Disclosure: These books were obtained on a free day, therefore I did not pay for them. This review also is posted on one of my blogs.]
