Présentation de l'éditeur

Fugitive Padawan Zayne Carrick's quest to clear his name is finally concluded in this novel-length story! Zayne and his con-artist companion Gryph commit to a new course in exposing the dark actions of the secret Jedi Covenant. Yet doing so takes them not only to the homeworld of one of Zayne's murdering Masters, but also into the most highly guarded place on the planet-a storehouse of Sith artifacts! But his days as a renegade won't end there! Zayne's search for justice will continue to Coruscant, where he'll confront his Master, Lucien Draay, and the members of the Jedi Covenant in a showdown that will end his days as a fugitive in one way…or another. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic continues the story set nearly four thousand years before the rise of the Empire and the fall of Anakin Skywalker (and seven years prior to the events in the Knights of the Old Republic video game). This volume collects issues #29-#35.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Getting on with KotOR (about time!) 29 juillet 2009

I think it was hard coming off Vector, but the writers did a brilliant job. It picks up right where Vector left and starts to involve more of the original elements from the game. Previous volumes went off on so many tangents, it began to lose sight of the mission, which was to flesh out the game.

This book really does both. It satisfies the fans of the game and those looking for an original storyline. Plus the art from Brian Ching is top-notch. At the same time it feels both vivid and fluid. Clearly this has been the best book in the series to date.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 this IS Star Wars 12 décembre 2012

I've been a bit disappointed at how much of the modern Star Wars EU seems to have lost sight of what made the Original Trilogy such a success. Fortunately, John Jackson Miller seems to get it. The KOTOR series starts off with a bang and immediately feels like Star Wars. It's got a gripping story, a great ensemble cast, clever humor, and beautiful imagery.

However, it's not just a rehash of Star Wars. The hero, Zayne Carrick, is a bit of a goofball as a Jedi. However, he's framed for the murder of his fellow Padawans. He joins up with Gryph, a Snivvian con artist whose outlandish sense of humor had me laughing out loud at times. Then there's the mysterious and beautiful Jarael who is as tough as she is lovely (really, I kind of have a crush on her). Finally, the group is joined by Rohlan Dyre, a Mandalorian who questions the war.

The Vindication arc wraps up Zaynes quest for justice in high style. I like how the story takes the time not just to understand the heroes, but also the villains. We get to see a backstory to Haazen and while we cannot sympathize with him, we do at least understand him. The story also handles the other Jedi masters well, showing them to be true believers, not mindless brutes.

Best of all, I'm very satisfied with John Jackson Miller's portrayal of Zayne. Zayne was always meant to be a bit of a bumbling Jedi. He's grown and changed throughout this story, but he's never become just another Jedi. In the final battle, he doesn't suddenly discover a new reserve of Force powers within him. Rather, he uses his wits and clumsiness, his own unique set of skills, to save the day. Easily one of the more lovable characters in the Star Wars EU.

Overall, I'm enjoying KOTOR much more than I have most Star Wars EU these days. Just as Star Wars was meant to be - fun.

Only recently started to read SW: KOTOR but it is bringing a lot of the pieces together from KOTOR 1&2 and adding depth to the story line. Highly recommend if you like KOTOR or even SWTOR since it has a feel off connection between the two eras or story lines.

John Jackson Miller continues the Knights of the Old Republic saga with volume 6 Vindication. Zayne Carrick and his crew continue their journey as they attempt to retain sith artifacts and give the high jedi council the info they desire not only to clear their names but lesson the siths strength within. After a few battles with the jedi covenant and the republic fleet Zayne and crew arrive back to the Draay estate on Coruscant only being brought in by another jedi covenant member. Zayne and Gryph finally meet the former masters of Lucien and what's left of his council. The ending sequence is by far one of the best of star wars history. This story is by far the best out of the six volumes so far! It's definitely well written but the art isn't too great with the exception of Brian Chings work. All in all I give vindication a perfect 5/5 stars.

I've been trying to read this volume forever and now I have and it did not disappoint at all. It wrapped up a lot of the story and felt very good that they did so next volume starts with a fresh start. A lot was discovered in this volume that makes everything that happened in the last few volumes make sense l. I was very happy with how it ended.
