This book is a sobering (pun intended) look at how someone spent years of her life in the grip of alcohol addiction. It tells in painful honesty of the despair and loss of self-respect alcoholism can bring about. Happily, through strength of will and courage the author stopped drinking altogether and turned her life around. The book discusses the problem fully and the warning signs, but the most important is the help and encouragement and strategies she outlines to stay sober. A happier, healthier life is possible and there are plenty of inspiring examples quoted in this book. It is a must read for anyone whose life is being destroyed by alcohol addiction. As she says 'Stop drinking and start living!'
