Tears of Jesus 10 mars 2012

I always have been fond of history/religion/mysteries. This book does not contain anything like totally-unreal-hubbabubba-bubbles which I often encounter. I like subtle 'maybe/what if true' kind of hints, and logic out of logic in the book, and this book gave the exactly-it! Quiet and serene reading. I found suspence, agony, peace, love, and the real meaning of forgiveness in this book. Not to mention the power of unity and faith among people regardless of different religions. I found out that I became really care for the characters while reading. I usually delete the books from the device, after reading. It means those books are gathered in the 'Archives' section. But I decided to keep this book under the 'Worth Keeping' section in my Kindle.

A very touching novel 22 juin 2012
Par a reader - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle
This book enticed me from the very beginning and I read it almost without stopping until the end.
While I was fascinated by its plot, it raised in me many questions about my understanding of Jesus, and my relationship with him. Better, I felt it offered possible answers to some questions I had in my heart.
Being a devout catholic, in this time of confusion and decline of the Christian faith, when the Church and the Vatican seem unable to revive the Christian spirit, the story of Sister Theresa - the heroine of the novel - and the revelation she receives from Jesus really touched my heart and gave me hope, the feeling that God is still alive and cares for this suffering world; but also the realization of how important it is to have an open heart.
Although this book is just a novel, I really wish its contents were true.

A Truely Enlightening Novel 13 juin 2012

This work of fiction offers an alternative theory for the first coming of Christ which not only makes perfect sense, it might open your eyes and get you to consider possibilities in other scriptures other than the accepted norms. Could this really be possible?

Give it a try. I hope it will be as thought provoking for you as it was for me.

Tears of Jesus 2 août 2012

Based on the few reviews posted I had high hopes for this book. The premise was interesting and did make me stop and think but I am giving two stars because the writing is stilted and awkward. I tried to do some research on the author and could not find much but what I did find leads me to believe this may be a translation of a translation. I could not get lost in the story because the writing kept pulling me back to reality. For an example of seamless translation I highly recommend The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

Lost in Translation 20 mai 2013

I cannot give this book below a four because of the strong, nearly spiritual, experiences I felt when Jesus' life realities were discussed several times in this book.

That said, I wish there was more reflection on Jesus as He stood on this earth in the flesh. Also this story as an investigation into theories that Jesus did not come to die on the cross could have used two or three more detailed looks into the history of this theological perspective that goes far back in Christian history. Or perhaps some of this content was lost in translation.

The prologue was written so strongly (in English) that I was taken aback going into the first chapter where it was all too clear this was a translation. Yet it is a captivating story and I couldn't stop reading. However, the second half (my Kindle tells me when I am at 50%) must have had a third translator. It read much flatter but the story is well concieved and some twists kept me reading to the end.
