Descriptions du produit

Application of Impossible Things This is an amazing true story of a female civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah and Nasiriyah, Iraq. She was riding in a truck with other men when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle. Her body was so severely damaged that there was no possible way she could live. She vividly recounts her Near Death Experience when she went out of the body to the spirit world. There it was de... Full description

Not your average near death experience 16 mars 2012

I'm honored to be the first one to review Application of Impossible Things. This is by far the most lucid and intelligent description of (some of) the dimensions that underlie and support our experience here in this physical plane that I've ever read. Ms. Sudman has a mind like a steel trap and the ability to communicate clearly, through explanation and metaphor, extremely intricate and many-layered concepts. There is no spiritual dogma here--rather a refreshing absence of any and all new age platitudes. She does not satisfy herself with easy symbols, and instead describes the core of her experience without any cultural or religious overtones. She gives voice to things I have often thought and never seen expressed anywhere else.

Her style of writing is reminiscent of Jane Roberts/Seth in its intellectual range and sense of humor. There's also an interesting similarity to the flavor of the writings of the women in Casteneda's party, Florinda Donner and Taisha Abelar, sans the darkly ancient, somewhat lurid mysticism of that time period. Or maybe it's just that she writes a little bit like a somewhat amused anthropologist, even when speaking about her own experiences. A spiritual remove, perhaps, but one that is very enjoyable to read.

There have been some wonderful new books written in the past few years by people who have returned from near-death experiences. They all have a tremendous amount to offer. This one adds a truly unique voice to the mix, and one that is full of clarity and fresh air.

Not Your Usual Near Death Experience... 25 avril 2012

Recently, I bought and read Natalie Sudman's, "Application of Impossible Things". When you buy this book, be prepared to open your mind to let all the information in which the author gives. If you have never delved before, into the New Age realm, then this book will be either a humongous mind-opener for you, or you will be somewhat baffled.

Be aware that she writes about experiences which she had on different levels or dimensions and animate, but scarcely defined spiritual beings she encountered during those experiences. There is no tunnel with a light at the end, no powerful God or Jesus figure. There is, I feel, an important "different" take on the afterlife, and our meaning and place in the universe, as individual spirits. And, there is a strong semblance of a life review, but not in the traditional sense.

This book is not very long. It was an easy read, but it was intellectual in the extreme. Be prepared for concepts you may have never encountered before. Be prepared to read some of the book more than once, to get the gist of it.

A very strong point this book has going for it, is Sudman's revelation of the vast universal importance, on many planes of existence, of even the seemingly least human being. Standing ovation of applause for her revelation of this fact. :) Can't be stated often, or strongly enough!

Application of Brilliant Writing Skills 5 août 2012
Par Mark Green - Publié sur Amazon.com

The morning I received this book in the post I put it to one side with the intention of reading it in my next coffee break. A few coffee breaks of reading this book I thought would probably allow me to finish it with ease. Three weeks later however I was still reading.
What I am making reference to is the somewhat lightweight appearance of the book. Whilst noticing an attractive and appealing front cover design and a somewhat intriguing title, I had to admit to myself - I had seen bigger books!
This however turned out to be a classic case of appearance vs. reality. The book was not a quick read by any means, even for a relatively fast reader such as myself. Moreover it was challenging, conceptually weighty, witty, engrossing, intriguing, and had plenty of both substance and style to it.
In the preface of the book the author relates how she initially hesitated over the idea of publishing a book discussing her near death experience. Observing the already substantial literature currently available in bookstores she questioned the virtue of adding yet another NDE book to the bookshelves, wary of an already saturated market for this genre of book. Her final choice, to publish anyway, was a good one. This was no doubt due to the realization that she had something genuinely original and fresh to offer this particular genre. For someone such as myself, already familiar with transcendental NDEs (and by transcendental I mean more extensive than simply `popping' out of the body, observing what color tie that cardiologist was wearing and `popping' back in the body again) this book still managed to provide further improved understanding of many of the metaphysical concepts I had come across in previous similar publications. Although this book could reasonably be said to be metaphysics intensive it was nonetheless written in such a way so as not to overwhelm or swamp the reader with impossible to comprehend ideas and concepts, the clarity in no small part achieved by a very clever and adept use of analogies, helping to ground the abstractions with a more down to earth level of thinking.
Noteworthy also was the part of the book dealing with the topic of evil. Some authors prefer to either completely dodge or lightly skim over this kind of potentially controversial subject matter, whilst others in contrast almost appear to condone dodgy behavior (albeit unintentionally I think). Natalie Sudman on the other hand masterfully deals with this tricky subject. While she does not water down any of the difficult aspects to this topic area you are never left with the impression she is condoning or encouraging anyone to commit harmful acts to others. I feel in fact that her diplomatic handling of this difficult and slightly awkward subject matter was about the best of have seen to date by any author brave enough to tackle this subject head on.
Also much of the metaphysics related in the book resonated well with me. Her descriptions of dimensions, relativistic concepts and quantum physics ideas aligned closely with my present understanding of how these things work, which is a reasonably strong statement to make given I have had the opportunity to formally study these topics at university undergraduate level.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in spirituality or metaphysics, including (and perhaps especially) those who think they have already `read it all' and feel there is nothing more to be gained by reading another book on the subject.
As far as I am concerned this book is the crème de la crème of contemporary spiritual books.

This book pulsates 29 août 2012

It took me three days to read this book, and for those three days the world stood still. All I can say is that of all the books I have read over the years on both near death experiences and the nature of reality/existence, this book resonates the deepest. This book resonated so deeply that I actually experienced pulses of energy running through my body as I read it and would often find myself entering in and out of pockets of meditative states during the process which is a totally new experience for me. Natalie's words hold great clarity and her writing style is sincere, down to earth, and fun. As another reviewer has already stated, 'this book is the crème de la crème of contemporary spiritual books'.

Application of Impossible Things: A Near Death Experience in IraqIf you read no other book this year, read Application of Impossible Things. Not only does Natalie write in a down-to-earth manner that anyone can understand, she literally takes you "with" her into the realm of all possibilities. I am honored to have read this narrative of life within consciousness and am happily sharing it far and wide.
