Quatrième de couverture

'The Boy Who Saw True differs from all the hundreds of books I have read on Spiritualism and kindred subjects' writes the celebrated occultist Cyril Scott in his preface to this remarkable work. 'Not one of them has ever displayed the characteristics of this highly diverting human document, with its naïve candours, its unconscious humour, its oscillations between the ridiculous and the exalted, and its power to convince, for the very reason that the young diarist never set out with the intention of convincing. Here was a precocious young boy born with clairvoyance who could see auras and spirits, yet failed to realise that other people were not similarly gifted.'

This is the Victorian diary of a boy whose extraordinary supernatural talent unfurls within these pages. A compelling read, The Boy Who Saw True is a time-honoured classic of the paranormal.

Biographie de l'auteur

Born in the north of England, the author of The Boy Who Saw True chose to remain anonymous and would only allow his diary to appear several years after his death, with the stipulation that the original spellings were to remain and some of the names be changed.

His editor Cyril Scott enjoyed a two-fold career as a musical composer and a writer on the occult and other related matters.

For anyone interested in auras, spirits, and spirituality. 24 mai 1999
Par Un client - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
I was sorry when the book ended. This is the diary of a young boy born in victorian England with the ability to see and hear spirits. His family life in the victorian era is interesting to say the least, while the insights provided by conversations with spirits, teachers, and people who have "passed over" are fascinating and thought provoking. This is a book I plan to give to my friends who are following a spiritual path. It is easy to read and humorous as well. Most of the origional mispellings (from the diary) remain intact in this published edition, delightfully reminding us of the youthful innocence of the author.

My true story 17 mars 2012
Par Dee Dee Danner - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
I know this sounds silly: my husband is a school bus driver and was driving kids who go to special schools. Most were obnoxious, in constant motion and incapable of listening. One little boy like to sit up front and talk and although we can't remember the exact subject now, it had to do with reading others thoughts which he seemed to do, and remembering past lives amongst other things. If he had a bad day at school, he never gave anyone grief on the bus, he just parked himself on the bottom step and made my husband and the attendant lift him onto the bus. Other than that he seemed to be no trouble.
I had just read this book, and suggested my husband loan it to the boy. After a number of weeks of my suggestion, he told the boy 'this is a book about a boy who reminds me of you, I thought you'd like to read about him.' So the boy took it without saying anything. Weeks past, and one day when they arrived at the boy's stop, the father of the child was waiting. He talked to my husband and mentioned the book (at first my husband was afraid the family was fundamentalist christians or something). The dad said the boy read the book 7 times and asked himself to read it too. And he finally understood his son. He finished by saying: 'You were listening to my son... and I should have been.'
After that, the boy seemed more calm at school and became a great help on the bus, corraling the littlest kids together and helping to keep an eye on them. And a few weeks later, he was back in the regular school.
I believe there are people like the boy in this book, just because I don't have this gift doesn't mean I have to deny its existence. (I also don't embrace everything without at least a grain of salt. ;-))

Purest story of natural clairvoyance ever written 17 janvier 2005
Par Linda J. Schiller-Hanna - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
I am a clairvoyant myself and teach intuition development

with the ARE and in my own course, the Lightworker Intensive.

I have this as one of the top books of recommended reading

for students.

Totally free of ego, this book tells the amazing and charming

story of a young boy's natural developing abilities, how he

felt about them, learned about them, wondered about them,

and learned to use and manage them.

Unforgettable. Definitely one of the best! I can't

think of any book comparable that teaches so much, so

innocently and beautifully.

Full of Wonderful Insights Through the Mouth of a Child 2 juin 2005
Par Katie - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché Achat vérifié
I, like many other reviewers, was unable to put this book down once I started it. I loved reading about the topics of clairvoyance and clairaudiance as it was experienced by a child.

This book is basically the publishing of a childhood journal. It includes the psychic experiences this child had, as well as the way he was treated when speaking about them. It also includes some everyday childhood "stuff", but even that was quite interesting.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in psychic development in particular, or metaphysics in general. It's a highly entertaining read.

Excellent reading! 19 janvier 2000

Along with the others I could not stop reading this and strangely like the others I didnt want it to end. This book is filled with knowledge of the other side and humor-the boy is very funny. So interesting to read he was truly wise beyond his years. I only wish there was another book to this or more recorded diaries. What a gift this child had.
