Washed from the ocean...identities unknown...who were they?

The body of a young woman is washed ashore on a secluded beach. She does not fit the description of anyone on Missing Persons lists. Fingerprints, dental records and DNA provide no leads.

Detective Adam Bennett discovers a pattern of similar cases - unidentified bodies found along the coasts of Australia and the United States, and he is determined to solve the mystery.

These are six young men and women who seem to have never existed.

When her brother meets a terrifying death in the wilderness, Kate Kovacs employs her IT skills to help track the killers. A baffling link is found between these two cases, leading Adam and Kate on a labyrinth trail to a scientific research centre, to a Washington power elite, and to a secret reaching back over thirty years to a war-ravaged Vietnam.

Ruthless forces are gathering, and they will stop at nothing to keep the secret hidden. Adam and Kate just became their targets...

THE DELTA CHAIN is a suspense thriller and an enigma with a scientific edge,
combining murder and conspiracy that leads to an explosive climax.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 A Little Bit of Everything 29 août 2011

This book has a little bit of everything - romance, crusading journalists, people-devouring crocodiles, cults, political conspiracies, recombinant DNA research, and more. In fact, it may try to include just a little too much. The story lines are interesting, but I did not feel there was quite enough character development. I cared more about some of the minor characters more than the main characters. Although the writing was pretty nicely done, it might even be improved by a less-complicated plot, and more insight into the main players. Overall, though, this book is one that most people will find enjoyable and entertaining.

I was given a free copy of this book. I enjoyed most parts and I found it to be thrilling at some parts and fast reading , but a little too predictable in some. I found the plot interesting, intricate and the characters well described. It was fast reading, because the story was good but repetition wasn't necessary. I found it a little confusing because there were so many characters to keep track of. In many parts of this book, I had to refer back to remind me who these people mentioned in other chapters were. By the middle of the book, it all fell into place. It moved at a faster pace once we knew that some of the main characters were up to no good. I liked the fact that this story was mostly happening in Australia. I have never been there so it gave me a glimpse of some areas.

I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. Wow! I was drawn in from the beginning of this story. The action is non-stop and the events keep you riveted and unable to put the book down! The details of the events and surroundings are thorough, as well as the detailed characters that you come to know well. I have to give this book credit, it's fast paced and keeps your attention.

I quit reading when he talked about being in a hurricane in the Midwest. I like a little more editing.

I thoroughly enjoyed it - some punchy twists in there, and the driving characters had me hooked into their lives and conflicts. The plot is edgy - with barbs that make you just want to read on.

I totally recommend The Delta Chain.
