The recipes in this book call for ingredients that I don't usually have on hand and many I, for one, haven't even heard of. It is more for a food adventurer than a lower-end user such as I.

the Hemsley sisters are genius. innovative spins on classics like chicken soup, fried chicken and brownies and delicious creations like broccoli fritters and goat cheese and beet terrine. I've had the book less than a week and I've already made 4 recipes. Can't wait to work my way through the book. And loved it so much, I bought three more for various family members. BUY IT.

Great recipes and easy to follow. Glad they included some info on food as well. But really wished they had included the metric measurement conversions for easier reference.

Beautifully illustrated book. I have tried several recipes and cocktails and overall have been pleased with them. As I change the way I eat I become more accustomed to the tastes of the recipes as they are very subtle compared to the average recipe. It would be nice to have nutritional information for the recipes. When I contacted the authors about this they said they don't provide this information as they are encouraging a different way of eating and not trying to emphasize calorie counting. They suggested working with a nutritionist to get that information. I don't care about calories, but I do care about carbs and sugar. I thought they added a nice touch by going through lesser known ingredients and would like to see more detail in their content. For example, they will say something is rich in vitamins, but won't say which vitamins. Overall I enjoyed the book but would like them to take it a step further and add more detail to their content. I don't need it to read like a food label, but having specific health issues it would be nice to know which of the less familiar ingredients I may need to avoid.

I love love love this book! As an RD I have a passion for nutrition and good food. So finding books that combine health, nutrition and taste good food are always a must have for me!
