bonne présentation, en revanche le contenu est parfois un peu surfait, des recommandations pas toujours mettables en pratique mais bon document général

I had the privilege of taking both the regular and advanced week-long 8hr/day intensive course by taught by Colson (one of the authors) at ESSEC Business School. These courses are famous at the school, and for good reason, as they were by far the best courses that I took going through the MBA program. These guys are experts in negotiation, often serving as consultants for major global negotiations, and they've been able to break down their expertise into a no-nonsense method that makes learning negotiation skills a highly feasible endeavor. Read the book, follow the steps (especially the preparation), and negotiate better. Trust me, it's very useful. (Don't worry, I've already graduated so I'm not just writing this to get a better grade in the course ;) )

The First Move presents the fine art of negotiation in a very structured and clear manner. From the book we learn that Negotiation is a management tool often taken for granted and mis-used. By using clear and interesting examples it highlights how important Negotiation is as a communication tool and how easily it can go wrong. The book presents the key mistakes people make and provides a framework to make each person better in negotiation and hence business.

The book has excellent case examples, draws in industry experience, is very 'readable' and most of all prepares the reader to implement the skills immediately.

I would recommend this to be part of the toolbox for any manager, politician, salesman, diplomat and communicator.

The book was really well and carefully packed, arrived way earlier than the promised dead line and is totally according to what has been described - it is quite beautiful.
