The Flirting Bible: Your Ultimate Photo Guide to Reading Body Language, Getting Noticed, and Meeting More People Than Yo [Format Kindle]

With 270 pages, and the word bible in the title, I was expecting less pictures. From the poor graphic design of the cover that is meant to be more playful than a serious presentation of a subject, I guess I should have expected as much. What you see on the front cover is what you'll get inside, it follows that basic format.

The pictures are large, generously inserted; it seems to be a full page picture every other page, and when there is text more pictures are thrown in, and the text is blown up to I'd say 20font. This could be an okay coffee table book in a dorm room. But it makes for a poor reading experience. While the pictures are large and generous, much like the text they lack content.

If you want to know how to flirt you need to know how to position your body, how to look at a person, how to touch them, and when to not touch them. The dynamics of Flirting is not limited only to how to come off not as having interest in a person at a particular time; you need a well-rounded understanding of how to use your body in every situation, confidence when you need confidence, to be approachable when you want to be approachable, to know what you want and to get what you want exactly when you want it. This book offers only a bastardized taste of these things, that other books printed 50 years ago have excelled at providing, without a single picture. Such as: How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People by Les T. Giblin

In The Flirting Bible for example, the example they provide for when not to touch someone they show different angles of a girl leaning away from a guy and leave it at that. This is not a flirting bible, it is a handful of partially-thought-out techniques. For a flirting bible, I would suggest getting multiple books on body language.

This book has the feel of being written by a Facebook blogger, for college kids looking to go on a one-night date.

All of that said, for $13 it was a decent addition to my collection on the subject for the pictures, that I may bring out to show someone else, but I sure wont be using this as a reference manual for myself.

After reading Flirting Bible, I found it very informative, especially on body language. If you just make a few contacts with people that result in dates, then the book is worth every cent you paid for it.
I had a few good connections by using some of the help features. One would never think that something so easy to apply would work wounders, but it does.

This book might be helpful for you that have no social skills at all, but it's not worth much of anything to the average person. In fact, the only thing great or useful about this book to most is a few pages towards the end where they give you some ideas. In essence, use "props." Wear an interesting shirt or a watch. Just about anything you can that you can use to make people talk to you and it's good to have a story to go with these props. If you don't have one, make one up... So there, that is the big secret of this book. Otherwise there is nothing substantial. So don't come out from under your rock for this book, it's a waste of your time
