3.0 étoiles sur 5 " insightful book" "law of three is timeless" 31 mars 2012
Par dcl - Publié sur Amazon.com

Author Simon John Lee has presented an insightful book, "The Law of Thirds, A Division for Thought".
As I read the book, I began to think of many mottos, terms, phrases, and rules which could be applied to this theory regarding The Law of Thirds. The author writes that the intricacies of the law of three is timeless and has been utilized for centuries.

It is impressive to consider as we go about each task all during our day, our brain is assimilating information and then constantly dividing actions, reactions, and responses repeatedly . Conscious thought is vital for our life force and we should actively consider the division of our thoughts as the key for inspired learning.

The author gives formulas regarding thinking tools in the division of other numbers such as two through twenty-four. He supplies examples which lead to the belief that the divisions of thought, other than in thirds, is not as effective. There are many approaches to our ability to think. He urges the reader to become active and creative in utilizing the three conscious rules of change. I won't reveal these rules, you must read the book!

Relationship-based thinking leads to success in the use of three word mantras. By using three letter acronyms, many companies and corporations have waged highly marketable campaigns for commercial branding. As you read the examples which are presented, you will fully understand how certain three letters together have proved wildly successful in imprinting into the brain.

"The Law of Thirds, A Division for Thought" is filled with examples which verify how a division of three in words, phrases, and actions are saved into our memories.

The Law of Thirds
By Simon John Lee

The Laws of Thirds: a division for thoughts by Simon John Lee is a book which is trying to unravel age long question of how our brain works and why it works that way. Book also contains few techniques which will help readers to improve various skills like communication skill.

This Book is like a big thesis, which relies on Various historical as well as modern examples to prove how human brain likes to interpret things; and then based on this interpretation of brain author explains few techniques which will help reader in day to day life. This book provides its readers information and thinking tools related to and dictated by The Law of Thirds. And because this book is trying to explore the natural process of thinking of brain it will help anyone and everyone, who want to explore the depths of natural thinking process.

Critically speaking the author, Simon John lee has real talent, let me explain; while reading this book many a times i thought of this writing very similar to Sir Issac Asimov, which I think is a feat in itself. Fundamentally this book is exceptional and helpful at the same time. Some may not find it to be a page turner, as it has lot of repetition but that does not subside what book has to offer.

And on concluding notes I would like to say that this book is a great as a food for thought and will help even complete newbees. But repetition of same base logic and Loads of examples makes completing this book a task. So, though a great book but could have been little small. A winner for 3 of 5 stars.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 The Law of Thirds - a review 12 avril 2012

There are a great many books that address the many self help issues that can plague humans; including issues such as depression, self esteem, self assertion and also the processing of thought in the mind. The Rule of Thirds by author Simon John Lee addresses the issue of the processing of thought and makes the correlation between thinking in "thirds" and easier problem solving. Mr. Lee asserts in his book that life would be a lot easier for people if we just employ the technique of approaching an issue facing us by breaking it up into thirds and cogitating about the issue thusly. His basis for this idea is that the human brain functions better on a level that indeed consciously breaks up scenarios into thirds. He also contends that there are many everyday and not so everyday situations where "the law of thirds" has always been successfully applied and is still used regularly.

The book starts off with looking at how we normally address problems in life which is by facing a problem as a singular issue and devoting all our energy to facing the single pronged issue leaving our thinking process stymied and constricted. Also addressed are the many well known thought processes, ranging from the tenets of analytical thinking to the supposition of hypothetical thinking. The author shares a wealth of knowledge about the application of thirds in everyday life and the book proves the many ways that numbers or other natural divisions can be associated with thirds. Additionally The Law of Thirds looks at the scientific applications of the "the law of thirds" and how this law has been used for many years in the scientific community. Also being brought into view within this book is also demonstrated are the many other areas of life where thirds have been applied purposely; including the invention of the three legged chair.

Overall, The Law of Thirds is a book that deals with a very interesting concept and is replete with many comprehensible examples of this law in action. In this book Mr. Lee presents some intelligent and useful information that the average person would not notice that the law of thirds is being applied. While Mr. Lee's book is well thought out and written in a professional tone, he does have a bit of over kill going on with the many examples which causes the book to be a drag to read and sometimes vague. With some condensing this book would make a really great read however as it stands now this may not be a great fit for all readers that are interested in the subject matter.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 Too Many Examples! 5 avril 2012
Par Amazon Customer - Publié sur Amazon.com

Simon John Lee uses this almost two-hundred page book to explore the idea that our brains like to compute things in threes. The layout of Mr. Lee's theories in the book not only didn't convince me, it bored me. It almost seemed as if he had to produce a certain amount of words to have the book published and therefore wrote as much "filler" as possible. The author starts the book out by explaining how our brains like to process information, not with single ideas or instructions, not in twos or fours and so on, and why we have trouble doing it in these amounts. The book is divided up into short, easily read sections that make the book a quick and easy read. Unfortunately, there are too many sections. There are individual ones for ten separate numbers. Included in each of these sections are why our brains don't like to process information in each of the number's amount and why. This became exceedingly boring to me. A lot of the information or basis for the author's hypothesis seems very forced, as if he says it enough then the reader will assume he must be right. There are far too many examples in this book. The multitude of them takes away from the points trying to be made. I'm not saying the author doesn't have valid points. He most definitely does prove the possibility that our brains, not us consciously, choose to think in thirds. There are certain sections that I found to be fascinating. One in particular I enjoyed involved Einstein's Theory and another was about colors, both concerning the Thirds Theory. I just think the book could have benefited from combining the sections involving all of the different numbers and excluding some of the numerous examples. After all, if my brain likes to think in threes as suggested then no wonder I was befuddled by all of this!
