Présentation de l'éditeur

On March 13, 1997 something extra-ordinary happened in the skies over Phoenix and across Arizona. On that clear evening a parade of low flying, mile wide V-shaped formations of orbs and craft glided silently overhead, attracting the attention of at least 10,000 people. This is the detailed account of that evening and the ensuing cover up of what is now being hailed as the largest mass sighting of UFOs in modern timesbut there is much more to the story.

By following the journey of a respected medical professional, who moved from skepticism to belief while meticulously investigating the topic for thirteen years since the event, the reader takes a wide-ranging tour of UFO history, from primitive cave paintings to 21st century reports. Extensive image analysis combined with the testimony of a variety of well-known figures, including past presidents and astronauts, such as Dr. Edgar Mitchell, make a compelling case that these anomalous phenomena have been visiting us for millennia.

This revised and expanded version of the bestselling 2004 edition shares the latest UFO developments and sightings, in addition to a convincing connection between all Unexplained Phenomena -- what the author calls UPs. There is also recent testimony from eyewitnesses, a 911 Phoenix police operator, as well as commercial and military pilots. In addition, former AZ governor, Fife Symington, who mocked the sighting at a press conference in 1997, now admits publicly that he witnessed the event and what he saw was "otherworldly".

Most riveting, is new, persuasive evidence -- revealed for the first time -- which takes a giant step forward in supporting the reality that we are not alone!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 We are not alone! 26 février 2004
Par Geoff Richardson - Publié sur Amazon.com
At 8 P.M. on the evening of the 6th February, 1995, Dr. Lynne Kitei had just settled into a bath when her relaxation was suddenly brought to a halt by her husband, Frank, calling from the bedroom. Dr. Lynne, knowing her husband, a family physician, was not easily alarmed, wrapped a towel around herself and rushed to his side to find him standing transfixed at the bedroom window, overlooking the distant skyline of the city of Phoenix, Arizona.
Frank's frantic calls were well justified for, less that a hundred yards from the window, three sphere-shaped objects hovered approximately 50 to 75 feet above ground level. Each of these "spheres" emanated a soft, inner light and it was obvious that they were not resultant of some laser beam or light show.
Realising instinctively that something very special was happening, Dr. Lynne grabbed her 35m.m. camera and managed to capture evidence of the strange objects on film. Little could she have known that this would prove to be the first of a whole series of events that would unfold over the coming months and years, peaking but not culminating on the evening of March 13th, 1997 when a number of craft and orbs, all unidentified, would cross the Arizona skies, an incident which became known as "The Phoenix Lights".
The phenomenon of The Phoenix Lights commenced at approximately 7-50p.m., when a "V-shaped" formation of bright yellow-orange orbs was observed leaving the Las Vegas area (Nevada) and flying at speed over the border into Arizona. The object was observed to travel over the Phoenix area and then on to Tucson, via a 300 mile corridor. The "V-shaped" formation was observed by thousands of people - from lorry drivers to physicians and children to lawyers. A whole cross section of society witnessed the object as it made its way across the Arizona skies and as the formation passed over Phoenix, the city stood still and traffic on the freeway stopped whilst the vehicles' occupants stared in awe.
However, Dr. Lynne was prepared. After two years of capturing the "spheres" on 35m.m. film and on video tape, she was ready with cameras at hand and succeeded in obtaining photographic and video evidence that would be broadcast locally, nationally and eventually across the World. Whilst avoiding all personal publicity and acknowledgement, Dr. Lynne fed her evidence gradually and anonymously to the excited media.
Despite the magnitude of The Phoenix Lights incident, the eyewitnesses to the events became increasingly concerned over the lack of explanation or even proper response from the authorities, whose attitude, at times, was one of derision. The authorities, however, did not appreciate the determination and expertise of the members of the public who were committed to seeking an explanation for the events which had occurred on the evening of March 13th.
Dr. Lynne's contributions to this "search for the truth" were of critical value. With expert scientific analysis of the photographic and video evidence by Jim Dilettoso and Mike Tanner, the unique optical properties of the "Lights" proved without doubt that the "military flares theory" had as much substance as flares themselves, expiring very quickly when subjected to proper scrutiny. Also, the contributions made by Ufologists Bill Hamilton and Peter Davenport and Councillor Francis Barwood as well as the other eyewitnesses who provided vital evidence and testimony should be acknowledged.
To describe The Phoenix Lights as an important incident would be an understatement and this applies to Dr. Lynne's book, which is also truly unique. For the first time a series of current, major UFO events has been captured on film and video by someone who readily admits to initially being a skeptic. Let us not forget that Dr. Lynne had little knowledge of or interest in UFOs prior to the evening in early February, 1995, when she first saw the mysterious pyramid-formation of spheres in the skies over Phoenix. Perhaps in that fact there lays the incredible value of this book.
For in her book, The Phoenix Lights, Dr. Lynne describes a personal journey, a journey which involved not just a change of opinion but a change of belief; a journey that resulted not just in a change of attitude but a spiritual change as well.
Dr. Lynne's book provides a detailed account of a momentous incident which will not only be of inestimable value to Ufologists but also provide comfort to those who have had a convincing UFO sighting themselves and have questions they need to answer. This is not just a book for "UFO buffs" though, being authored with such clarity of thought and expression, it is a book that should be a fascinating read for everyone. In fact, it probably should be read by everyone!
The series of events which became known as "The Phoenix Lights" is covered in some detail at "The WHY? Files" - [...]

5.0 étoiles sur 5 It's About Time 1 mars 2004
Par d. davis - Publié sur Amazon.com
I have followed the Phoenix Lights mystery for several years after having witnessed the strange lights myself on a visit to Arizona on March 13, 1997. I was thrilled when I saw that a new book had been written about it, especially from a witness who happened to be a medical doctor. Fortunately for me, what I discovered was an articulate account of a sincere and transforming personal journey, something I could actually relate to. The title of the book is right on. How comforting to know that I am NOT alone. I have had many questions myself that were answered beyond my expectation. I couldn't put the book down. Not to mention the photographs themselves. How incredible, yet credible, that Dr. Lynne had the forethought and dedication to document so much for us to consider, undeniable facts, not only in her written words, but in filming the Phoenix Lights on numerous occasion before and after the statewide incident. And now being brave enough to share them. Dr. Lynne is right on and she must know that she is not alone in her desire to get this out in the open, so the ridicule, secrecy and denial that have permeated the topic of the unexplained for far too long will take a giant step forward.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 A MUST READ 22 février 2006
Par W. Evans, an avid reader - Publié sur Amazon.com
Whether or not you are a believer in life beyond Earth, this book makes a substantial case that we are being visited by other intelligences - one that is a relief and comfort for those of us who have experienced an UP [Unexplained Phenomenon]. The author, who is a noted physician, educator and experiencer, shares her own journey of discovery, while helping the reader discover that we're not alone - and probably never have been. This book is a joy to read, as well as an intriguing guide, particularly for those searching for answers.

While I was searching, I happened on [...] and found the color photographs and footage on the site even more compelling than the black and whites illustrated in the book.

But make no mistake, this important story is a must read for young and old alike.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Compelling!! 2 juin 2004
Par Un client - Publié sur Amazon.com
I have never witnessed an unidentified flying object nor have I had a near death experience. In the past I have been fascinated with discussions of these kinds of phenomena, but my logical, engineering personality would rationalize that there must be some other explanation. At the urging of a fellow engineer I picked up this book. I had no preconceived notion of it's contents and had never heard of the Phoenix lights. Therefore, I did not know what to expect when I got into the book. What I didn't expect was a convincing, detailed account of one doctor's search to discover the truth of what she personally witnessed in the skies over Phoenix. It is apparent that Dr. Kitei was fearful that her own credibility would be tarnished if she let if be known that she believed there was "something out there". Her tenacity fascinated me. Although I can say that the end of the book certainly provided the icing on the cake, without the detailed accounts and repeated questioning of herself, I know that I wouldn't have been convinced. Having read this book, I feel I have been taken on a journey that has left me feeling there is so much more I need to know....we all need to know. It's very compelling. Thank you Dr. Kitei for pursuing your answers and enlightening me.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Important and informative book proving that we are NOT alone in the Universe! 23 août 2005
Par Dr. Chris Rogers - Publié sur Amazon.com
With all due respect, Peter Jennings' recent UFO special only continued the media's incessant and blatant debunking and confusion about a very important and real issue - that we are NOT alone in the Universe. The Phoenix Lights segment was very poorly covered, I must say. I wondered why Dr. Kitei - with her excellent research and photographic records - wasn't interviewed in that special. After all, she wrote `the book'.

But this review is not about Jennings or the media, it is about an intriguing read that delves into the reality of the subject of unexplained phenomena more succinctly and honestly than any I have examined throughout my 20 plus years of searching. You learn that for many years the dedicated Doctor Kitei pushed aside her successful and respected medical practice to pursue answers to something most of us would not even begin to attempt. The extraordinary unexplained Arizona mass sighting and the realization that these anomalous events were occurring worldwide, was only the beginning of Kitei's trek into "wonderland". She plainly admits that the Phoenix Lights event pulled her into this strange world of the unknown, but as a scientist and skeptic she was determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. As the book progresses she introduces the reader to other "unearthly" possibilities besides ETs, one that Quantum Physics is readily supporting these days - that these strange incidents just might be interdimensional, as well as interplanetary. This is clearly a new take on the age old question of how other intelligences `could' be visiting us that is not only enlightening, but opens up realms of possibilities.

Some people just don't get it...or don't want to. The reality that we ARE being visited by other intelligent life is unfortunately not something we have been privy to in our culture, but something that Kitei gracefully introduces so others can learn and grow at their own pace. Perhaps one day we will all take off the blinders, admit that we are a primitive and egocentric species and move forward to embrace the potentials that abound in the Universe. That's what this book and I dare hope our future is about.
