I am the co-author of this book, and wanted to add a few points to the otherwise excellent reviews that have already been posted by folks who are clearly knowledgable in this field.
First of all, I personally had chronic fatigue syndrome for many years, and was severely run-down. Those of you who have this understand how it can affect your work and your relationships. When I'd try to exercise it would only make me sicker because I was so depleted. As is typical in the medical field, your doctor can do tests to rule out illnesses like diabetes, anemia, depression, and hypothyroidism, but once they've been ruled out, he/she can do very little as far as telling you how to increase your energy levels. So I was personally on a desperate search for ways to increase my own personal energy level and that's what lead me to find Master Stephen Co and to learn these exercises from him. The exercises in this book are RARE and UNIQUE in the sense that they require minimal exertion and will recharge your batteries even if you are totally run-down and depleted. And the energy that you get from them lasts all day; its not like drinking a cup of coffee and getting a buzz for only a few hours.
Second, while you may have seen several of these exercises before from a variety of different schools, as far as I know, many of them are unique and they were put together in a specific sequence by the founder of the Institute of Mentalphysics. The original Mentalphysics exercises were awesome, but required close to an hour to do a full set. My own teacher, Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui modified these exercises slightly, allowing a person to get equal or more benefit by doing many less repetitions in a fraction of the time. I can do the full set in 10 minutes.
A third comment involves some more esoteric aspects of the exercises. One secret to how these work is that they "physicalize spiritual energy." I know many folks who are very spiritual, meditate a lot, do healings on other people, and yet themselves are completely sickly and exhausted. These will help, especially when combined with some of the other "energetic hygiene" practices that we recommend in the book. Also, I would strongly recommend doing the Meditation on Twin Hearts that is taught in the book. It is extremely powerful, will supercharge your body (and chakras), and will change your personality for the better. If you do this meditation and then follow it with the Mentalphysics exercises, and keep at it for several months, you will not even recognize yourself or your old life. These exercises also help to balance creative and sexual energy. If your sexual energy/libido is low, they will increase it (take it from me, I'm a urologist!!). If the libido is too high, some of the energy will be transmuted to more of a creative type of energy.
