Very interesting work about ancient history 29 avril 2014
Par Amazon Customer - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
All my life I have seen pictures of items that have been found in anachronistic settings - like a hammer in a rock formation that was millions of years old. The iron was oxidized and the handle wood was fossilized, but it was clearly a modern looking hammer. Footprints of boots with treads in a layer of dinosaur tracks that were many millions of years old - etc. Science always dismisses these finds, even though they are obviously there...
I met Avery Morrow at our Japanese Matsuri in Santa Fe and bought his book there. Considering the subject I expected a hard read, but it turned out to be a very exciting book that read like a mystery novel. I found it hard to stop reading and was amazed at what stories emerged. If you are interested in Japanese mythology and history I can only recommend this book.

DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS 18 juillet 2015
Par Robert Steven Thomas - Publié sur Amazon.com

5-Stars - For being extremely well-written, researched and organized by the author.
4-Stars - For its scholarly presentation and importance to other researchers and historians.
3-Stars - For its readability and value to the layman.
This book was clearly a difficult undertaking through no fault of the author. It is a non-fiction book on the ancient cultural history of the Japanese people. Problem is, authors on this subject have so very little available in the form of actual reference material to work with. It simply doesn't exist! Though some sources attempt to deny it, from legitimate lack of archaeological and anthropological evidence it has been established that the primitive Japanese did not even have a written language until, perhaps the 15th Century and certainly no earlier than the 8th Century CE. As a result this book contributes very little new to the subject, and is as a result, mostly a rehashing of the leading scholars differing opinions and arguments on what scarce sources that are available. I believe most layman will be confused by the detail of minutiae and lack of straight-forward dialog (as I was ) The author may have been better off writing in a more relaxed-informative style, with greater clarity, personal interpretations and more definitive conclusions that the average reader could follow more easily. Also, though there are some references on the book-jacket/description about "an ancient Golden Age in early Japan, when gods walked the Earth and 'flew' around in space ships (aka - Ancient Alien Theory) there is almost NOTHING in the book of its kind. This may have been used as a "tease" or "ploy" to increase book sales.

anomalous findings support this book 27 mars 2014
Par James Loretta - Publié sur Amazon.com

...an amazing source of inspiration for how the world once was.....mainstream does not accept man on this planet millions of years ago and continues to ignore anomalous findings like stumps of stone pillars in coal beds 300 millions years old and a screw that was found inside a piece of mineral dated at 21 million years......when one figures in such findings, the knowledge of the Age of the Gods becomes even more believeable

Pretty far out there, but worth a look 3 juin 2014

Ok, there are a lot of books out there with claims about LeMuria, Atlantis, and so many variations. Although the source texts are of questionable origin, they are not of dubious origin. And in fact, there are enough subtle details here to give this thesis a go. It certainly sounds more plausible than the James Churchward work and much more credible than the great white brotherhood stuff by George Hunt Williamson aka 'Brother Phillip'. I'm not saying that what Churchward or Williamson writes about is not possible. It's just that these accounts, especially those of Brother Phillip, are full of primary logical holes that do not fit the larger cultures or evidence from the relevant [alternative] archaeology.

Back to this book. Avery is an interesting fellow. He has the mental depth to tackle this material and in so doing does not sound like a crank. If you are into lost histories, and have an attraction to Japan or LeMuria, then this is a better than expected book to read.
