Nectar and Mummies and Martial Arts--Oh, my! 10 octobre 2010
Par thepastyharlot - Publié sur Amazon.com
World Adventures made my sims game so much more fun. Admittedly, Al-Simhara is my favorite place to visit and I love exploring the pyramids and running away from mummies. I like that it incorporates different foods, artifacts, and even fashions from the different "countries" into gameplay as well. It's a must-have for the true sims fan!

I loved the game. so many new adventures and getting out if town once in a while was fun. i didn't really see any glitches lately probably because of the new patches. this game sure beats showtime !!

It's mostly a change of scenery plus some new clothese and hair. The adventures are incomprehensible 25 décembre 2013
Par QUOKKA_54 - Publié sur Amazon.com
You do get some new outfits and hairstyles with this one. Plus it's very easy to have your sims travel, just whip out the old cellphone (inventory) and select real estate and travel. Unfortunately your first trip is China and you can't change it. At least i couldn't. To get to go to other destinations you need to earn Visa points and to do THAT you need to complete adventures and buy certain things. Sound complicated? It pretty much is. You have guides all around but they're pretty much useless. They should take you to where you can find the stuff you need for visa points but they don't. You have to do that yourself. Watch your sims take off at a full run to get to the adventure spot! If youre lucky a bicycle appears, sometimes a car.
So you meet some local who wants you to explore something and find some artifact say a key, and that key then lets you explore other places on the map. First mission is explore the "Hall of Soldiers" and you can find it by switching to map view and panning. So you click it and have your Sims go there, now what? No clue as to where to find the artifacts or items. No idea who to talk to or where to look. You need Visa points to travel to the other destinations, you have to find the artifacts and stuff to get the Visa points, and you have only a vague clue where to look. Add to that your sims have their needs continuing all the time you are doing this-they spend lots of time travelling to their adventure, and still have to eat, sleep, and poop. They can't bring food and there's no facitilites except at your base camp. So tending to them and travelling around the map leaves you no time to figure out how to get the objects you need, to get more visa points, to go someplace else..

If you are playing the games with no mods, at least give your sims some Simoleans to travel with by using the motherlode cheat. (Ctrl and shift and C, type motherlode and hit enter.)

If you want to try to solve the puzzles i recommend a cheat or two. If you can't or won't use cheats then you are going to have to extend the vacation time from the default 3 days to a week or more. There are cheats that eliminate the need for a Sim to use bathroom time, cheats that eliminate hygeine, cheats that reduce sleep, you might need them all. These are not EA approved so you get them online. You can't post links so the site is called modthesims.

If this add on to the game was supposed to be fun the devs didn't try very hard. .I can't say i dislike it but it's way more complicated then it should be. At least the FIRST trip you take should be easy but it isn'T!

Not the greatest SIms 3 EP, adds a lot of great items 22 novembre 2012
Par Sandra Mentecki - Publié sur Amazon.com
I have been on the Sims wagon since the original game many years ago. I have Sims 3 and all of the EP and SP to date. This is not my favorite EP, the load time when you travel is excessive and I have a pretty good computer system (all of my stats exceed the game's minimum requirements and my video card is one of the top recommended by the folks in the Sims 3 online community). I tend to get bored once my sim arrives at any of the travel destinations and really only go there so I can find or purchase the "local goods" like the higher quality cameras, inscence burners, food items, books and skill generating items (such as the nectar maker from France and the martial arts equipment from China) since they aren't available in the sims' home town (unless you use cheats).

Don't get me wrong, the EP is worth the price if only for the new items and skills but I don't care for the adventure aspect of it. I'm not interested in earning the coins, running errands for the "locals" or exploring the tombs for treasure.

Still, a worthwhile addition to the collection provided your system is up to it.

Worth it and fun! 22 janvier 2014
Par Seleneus - Publié sur Amazon.com
This expansion pack (EP) was probably the 3rd or 4th one I bought and now I have 9 and I think it's probably one of the glitchier of the EPs. I'm guessing because the EP adds 3 new worlds...However, even though this EP tends to be a bit glitchy (at least in my opinion), I think it's well worth it. You get to go to the sims version of France, China, and Egypt! They're all beautiful and offer many new surprises!

Overall, buying the game is still quite worth it despite possible glitchiness. Going on vacation with the sims is really fun and addictive especially when you start hunting for those beautiful gems and stuff.

(Perhaps your experience will be different from mine though. I had a friend who said the town that came with the Pets EP was terribly glitchy but I never had a problem with it. Perhaps it depends on your computer and what EPs and Custom Content you have.)

Still highly recommended to all Sims fans! 4 stars for addicting-ly fun vacationing activities and beautiful new worlds to enjoy! Happy vacationing!
