A classic gem that rock fans of the 70's & 80's would love 25 février 1999
Par Un client - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
this is one album from the 70's and 80's period that most folks have never heard of, but i still consider it a classic, "Raise a Little Hell" is probably the only song that some people would recognize, but it is not even the best song on the album. a must for fans of guitar oriented clear lyric type music of this wonderful era...

The best Trooper album ever !! 10 mai 2001
Par Un client - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
Trooper's 1978 album was there best album ever! With the hit's "Raise a little hell", "Round round we go", "Moment that it takes" & "Say goodnight" (not to mention "The Gambler", "Live from the moon",& "Drive me crazy"), Ra and Brian were at there peak songwriting. Without a doubt one of my Top 10 albums of all time (#4)and a soundtrack to my youth. ...
A Canadian Band even more underated than April Wine! 16 septembre 2013
Par Leo Hott - Publié sur Amazon.com

After purchasing Trooper's greatest hit's titled "Hits from Ten Album's" I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed every song on it. Reading reviews & the liner notes Trooper band member as well as many other reviews pointed out that this was Troopers best album, so I had to give it a try. If you are a lover of guitar rock or 70's rock & roll this is a must have album! I had always thought April Wine was a very underrated band but America totally missed this band. In short Trooper is a awesome band of the same quality as Thin Lizzy, The Faces, Nazareth & Blue Oyster Cult or Head East. The reason they never had more commercial success in the U.S.A. is a mystery to me. But I am Happily catching up on a back log of high quality 70's style rock & roll that I missed out on in my youth. I was aware of this band in the 70's when hearing their now classic song "Raise a Little Hell" on a local Juke Box, but finding their album's presented a problem as they just weren't available in the state's. Now with the advent of internet shopping I have been able to collect quite a few great C.D.'s that were hard to find locally. Trooper's "Thick as Thieves" is a great album as well as a great place to start if you are curious about this under the radar band that delivers great rock & roll, even if they aren't a band of great renowned they are never the less a great band!

These guys should've been huge in the US 23 décembre 2005
Par Darian Dennison - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
I have heard of Trooper a couple years ago but I didn't really know too much about them and I'm so glad that I discovered this album at a record store and I decided to give these guys a try and I'm now glad that I did, Trooper sure has a wide diversity of music and I take that as a good thing, at times they sound like Foreigner, Rare Earth, Orleans, Eagles and the (early) Doobie Brothers, the best songs are No Fun Being Alone, Round Round We Go, Raise a Little Hell and One Good Reason, the rest of the album is solid and there isn't a bad song on here and that is something I don't say too often, I just wish that Trooper would've been as big in the states as they were in Canada and I think that all 70's classic rock fans should check out this album.

Here are the track listings.

Live From the Moon (4:14)

No Fun Being Alone (3:17)

Round Round We Go (4:18)

Drivin' Crazy (3:19)

Roll With It (4:09)

Say Goodnight (3:50)

The Moment That it Takes (3:17)

One Good Reason (5:15)

Gambler (3:17)

Raise a Little Hell (3:38)

I bought the vinyl in Canada roughly 19 years ago. Now it's time to purchase the CD...what a great collection of tracks.
