Présentation de l'éditeur

**Debuted on the USA TODAY Best-seller list!**

Book five in the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Rose Gardner series!

There's no denying trouble finds Rose Gardner like a divining rod finds water, especially when Rose finds herself in the middle of a bank robbery. But after the robbers steal her deposit bag—containing a large amount of cash—she soon finds out that thanks to her sister Violet’s financial mismanagement, trouble is threatening her business as well.

To top it off, Rose’s ex-boyfriend Joe Simmons has moved back to Henryetta to fill the chief deputy sheriff position. Rose’s involvement as a witness is the perfect opportunity for Joe to reinsert himself into her life. But Mason Deveraux, Fenton County Assistant District Attorney and Rose’s new boyfriend, has waited too long for Rose to give her up without a fight.

Rose’s pregnant best friend, Neely Kate, suggests they find the robbers using Rose’s visions and Neely Kate’s knowledge about everything in town. The women are soon hot on the trail of the stolen money, but Rose is caught off guard when Neely Kate’s snoopiness detects the biggest complication of all: Rose might be expecting a baby of her own.

Seing no one in France leave a comment on this book I was tempted to leave one but on all the books available (1 to 5)
This is really a great set of books, good author and amazing characters that are growing on me more every book I read ( except for the sister violet...)
I discover this tanks to amazon that was proposing book one free, as I began I could not stop and I ve bought and read them all in two weeks time.
There is action, romance, and mystery solving what more can you ask?
I would say that book number 3.5 is to avoid, adding nothing to the story as it is just the end of book 3 word for word a lot.
I Will add that book number 4 is the one I less like due to the missing case that normally rose will inadvertly investigate and help to solve.

Do not hesitate to discover this series it worth it.

I love this series. Rose Gardner has grown so much in each of these stories and they've taken place over the course of a few months. She has found love and lost it. She has faced tragedy and risen above it. She has been dealt the worst hand and yet has managed to win the jackpot.

The best thing about this series is how much stronger she's gotten. In this installment, she really shows that not only has she grown a pair, but they might be the biggest cajones in Fenton County. Face down a criminal mastermind and have him following directions and eating out of the palm of her hand? Check. Tell off the snippity nosy know it all, at church no less? Check. Manage to have a civil conversation with your ex about your life? Uh, not so much. However, the fact that she's able to see him and speak to him without bawling like a baby or stuttering and slobbering on herself like a fool says a lot. Rose Gardner has become a woman of her own and does not allow anyone to tell her what to do or who to be. I love this Rose Gardner and I can't wait to see who she becomes next.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Best One Yet! 24 juin 2014

This installment of the Rose Gardner series was quite the wild ride. From bank robberies to maybe babies, this book is filled with action, laughs, tears and swooning (over Mason of course). I've been a solid Team Mason member since he showed up and this book showcased everything that I love about him. I'll admit that I believe Joe loves Rose in his own way (and he's got some great scenes in this book too), but it's Mason who accepts her and encourages her like most people in her life do not. Rose may be getting stronger, but she still needs the support of her friends and I love the relationships she has with Neely-Kate, Bruce Wayne and Jonah. Violet...she can just go jump off a cliff of something. I despise her more and more with each book in the series and her actions in this one are almost unforgivable.

One of the best parts of this series is how skillful the character development is. Rose has come so far from who she was in Twenty-Eight. I love how much she's grown. She's more assertive, she believes in herself more, and she stands up for herself more. Each book in the series gets better and better and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

I no longer have a dog in the fight with the character assassination of Joe. I really liked this series until Joe was ran into the ground. It's not even about Joe and Rose ending up together. It's the way Joe has been turned into a total tool to prop Mason. Apparently Mason walks on water and can do no wrong -- which is what makes him so boring. You can have a viable love triangle without ruining one of the characters -- despite what this series is showing us. So, thanks for 2.75 great books.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Am I forgetting some details??? 1 juillet 2014

I love this series and it just keeps getting better. The mystery was wonderful and I loved reading about Rose and Neely Kate and allof their adventures.
My only complaint seems to be a popular one among the reviews. Mason is being portrayed as a saint and Joe is becoming lower than pond scum. Here's what really confuses me, and please help me if I am remembering the details wrong...(this won't be a spoiler if you have been reading the whole series)....

Joe is being controlled by his father. But when we first met him, Joe had managed to distance himself from his father by joining the state police. Then Rose got in trouble. In order to help Rose, Joe went to his father and asked for help to save Rose. Rose was saved, but Joe was now indebted to his father. When Joe's father decided to make Joe pay-up for his help, Joe had no choice because the father had collected information that would ruin Rose and her family. So Joe had to give in to his father to protect Rose. Even hough it meant breaking up with Rose, leaving the police and joining politics (which he hated). And because of this Rose now hates Joe? I understand she is mad because he slept with Hillary. But, he and Rose were broken up at the time and there really wasn't a chance at reconcillation without Joe's father using the information he had gathered. I know Rose was hurt that Joe broke up with her, but she knew he did it to protect her. I just don't understand why Joe is so hated when he really didn't have a choice. If he didn't break up with her she would be ruined. But instead, Joe ruined his own life to save hers. Am I forgetting something??? And now we are learning that not only did Joe break Rose's heart, but apparently he has been causing other trouble too that has gone undetected but could send him to jail if it came out. Huh? And what was that kiss? The old Joe would not have forced himself on Rose like that. I just don't understand why we are suppose to hate Joe now. I have nothing against Mason and if Rose stays with him, that would be fine. I just don't know why Joe has to be evil just because Mason is a saint.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Slight rant about Violet ahead... 26 juin 2014

Why do I have to love these books so much?!?

To be honest, this series frustrates the hell out of me! It seems like everything that can go wrong does. It doesn't help that Rose goes half cocked into dangerous situations. But, she's a spit-fire and I love that she tells hardened criminals off.

You know what I would love more? If she finally put her awful sister, Violet, in her place! Violet messes up a lot and always blames Rose and while Rose gets mad about it, she never really lets loose and tells Violet that she's the one that's wrong. In fact, there was a part where she felt bad for Violet for once again screwing things up in a way that majorly affected both of them. Violet is manipulative, weak, petty, and a horrible sister! I understand that they are sisters but you can't just let people, even family, continually walk all over you.

I love Violet and Mason together. I really do. But I can't say that I didn't feel bad for Joe as he tried to get Rose back and his declarations of love even in the face of a situation that wouldn't be ideal for him. I think Mason is good for Rose because he supports her, her decisions, her friends, everything. But is it so wrong of Joe to fly off the handle every time the woman he loves does something that puts her in danger? Okay, maybe it's wrong to fly off the handle every time, especially since some of those times the trouble found Rose when she was minding her own business. But there's nothing wrong with wanting your loved ones to be safe.

In the battle of Team Mason versus Team Joe, I guess I would have to pick Mason, but I wouldn't be upset if in the end of the series Rose ended up with Joe because both men have their strengths. (side note: is there a planned end to this series or is it just something that's going to keep going on as long as readers love it?)

I'll definitely be reading more of this series, especially since that little bomb was dropped at the end.
