Stunning images in Tibet: Culture on the Edge! A departure from his signature style of selective toning of black and white images, Borges continues to create beautiful portraits and has added amazing landscape images as well. This is not a book about the struggle of the Tibetans against the Chinese, but of the struggle with climate change and the impact technology and development are having on the Tibetans as they continue to follow their Buddhist practice and culture.

As a long time fan and follower of the work of Phil Borges, I must admit this book is stunning beyond all previous others. His portraits and comments bring the viewer into the world of Tibet on the edge of demise. Tragically, the people that most need to see this book will likely not read or look through the beautiful pages. This book should be shared with leaders at the UN and halls of power in DC. Pity, the subject matter is not on their radar. Tibet is a jewel of many global communities which are at risk of cultural and environmental destruction. Phil captures so much in the faces and narrative in each section: Climate Change, Development and Devotion. This should be a wake up call for anyone interested in climate change and cultures at risk of destruction in the fast changing global political dance we are all part of today. Read this book and write to your elected officials demanding they examine and these issues.
