Do you see how he's looking at her on that cover? Look closer if you have to. That look on his face tells every Drew Girl what she needs to know: TIED is sublimely irreverent, massively sexy and so frigging perfect readers will be bursting with giddy smiles. This, praise Emma, is the ending we all wanted. (Christina Lauren, NYT, USA Today & International Bestselling author)

Présentation de l'éditeur

In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of…my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you’ve heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

2.0 étoiles sur 5 Ol' good Vegas... Old being the main word 12 octobre 2014

It was trying to decide between 2 and 3 stars but I think 2 was enough. I'm sorry about my low rate. I read Tangled and loved it. I didn't read Twisted because of the low reviews and I don't like that kind of miscommunication. But I decided to read Tied because it was the last one and in the H's pov. SPOLER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER:
It was funny and sweet in parts: Drew's love for Kate and his son. When he was talking about James and Kate. His devotion for them. The domestic and the whole family interactions
And of course , his way of talking and explaining his reasons. Always hilarious. But that's where the story lost me. Because of the gratuitous Bachelor/Bachelorette party in Vegas. Nothing against Vegas. But after 4 years together and a 2 years old boy I think that strip club scene was unnecessary. Drew said that the bachelor party was more for his friends than for him. He was more like a bystander. So WHY did he let himself get tied in a chair on the strip club stage and this stripper was of course stripping in his lap, then she stuck her thong in his mouth and she spread her legs in his face showing all her "very private inner parts". Eeewww. I think that was disrespectful with Kate and even the readers. Kate and Drew were already living together for almost 5 years I didn't see a reason to celebrate his "last minute" of freedom having some other woman vagina spread in all its glory in his face. He was already committed to her right? It's not the strip club the problem , it was the situations. Then, later this same stripper married Billy Warren (Kate and Dee Dee's friend) and Drew found her ins his hotel room taking a shower with no shame walking naked in front of the hero. I was like: WHAT????
Well I went to read this book for escapism and a good end for Kate and Drew. (There was a great HEA). I wasn't expecting a bunch of guys including the hero Having a hard on a strip club, it was a chip attempt of creating drama and it diminished and discredited the love between the H/h.
It was too much time spent in Vegas in vain and immature situations. I got detached from the story when the story line shifted from the family and domestic set up for the Vegas. A bunch of other books has the same plot: drunk until they black out, alcohol and drug induced situations, strippers, cops, fights, stop in the jail. After 5 years together this Vegas plot it was banal.
Just my opinion. Like I said before after 5 years together I think this kind of bachelor/bachelorette party was very immature specially those were adults in their 30's already. It is not Vegas, is the way they played in Vegas. I'm disappointed.
At least the wedding was great, sweet and worthy the reading.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 2 out of 5 Stars - Way too chauvinistic for my taste. 18 octobre 2014

We’ve come very close to knowing Drew Evans and Kate Brooks’ story thanks to Emma Chase’s books Tangled and Twisted, and Tied should definitely not be read as a standalone. After experiencing their love-turns-to-hate relationship in the making and the unexpected addition to their couple, it is now time for readers to find out about them actually tying the knot!

Tied is around Kate and Drew’s bachelor(ette) parties in Las Vegas, so it’s a pretty standard plot around the usual Vegas temptation and their consequences on the impending marriage. I can’t say I find the concept very exciting but since I had just finished reading Tamed by Emma Chased (and I loved it) I gave Tied a go.

As (kind of) expected, I was a bit disappointed by this book. It still had the fun and the sass that the other Emma Chase books had, but the story as such didn’t really grip me. Although I really liked the first chapters, with flashbacks on Drew and Kate’s first steps as parents etc., the rest (basically when the Vegas part of the story started) mainly felt like a series of jokes patched together, and although they were funny, the story didn’t really grow or evolve from there.

We are back to hearing Drew’s POV, whose cocky behaviour and dirty mind readers have come to appreciate in Book #1, Tangled. I was one of those. I really liked Drew, and he was funny as hell. And in Tied, Emma Chase wanted to demonstrate that he become a better man: he is completely whipped by Kate, would stay faithful to her forever, and would never, ever hurt her. But apart from that, Drew’s character grew into a chauvinistic jerk, and that completely put me off.

I was sincerely tired of him calling female people - including Kate’s best friend - ugly names. Or just the way he describes curvier women and how he would never touch them with a stick etc. His whole vision of women really disgusted me, and totally tainted this book.

Worst things include:
“Bikinis as far as the eyes can see - some I wish I didn’t see. Remember, ladies, two-piece bathing suits are a privilege, not a right.”

“Women are like cleenex - soft, disposable, a convenient place to come.”

“She’s sort of hort - in an aging-hooker, been-around-the-block, her-p****y-is-probably-as-wide-as-the-Lincoln-tunnel kind of way.”

The worst thing about it, is that you would think Drew would change after all he’d been trough but no, he didn’t. And he seems totally entitled to think those thoughts, which I do not support. Well, I’ll end that review on this note. If you don’t mind crude remarks a 17-year-old none-the-wise teenage player would say, and a story that’s mediocre fun and not necessarily earth-shattering, then you might enjoy Tied. If not, leave it to Tangled and Twisted, where Drew still remains somewhat decent and Kate doesn’t have to put up as a total chauvinistic douche as a husband.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Romantic comedy doesn't get any better than this! 7 octobre 2014

What do they say about laughter? Laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is good for the soul. If you are looking to lift your spirits or reduce stress in your life, laughter is a sure thing. I just finished the concluding novel of the Tangled series, Tied, and laughed out loud the entire time I was reading! Emma Chase is incredibly talented at writing romantic comedy. If you are looking for a fantastic series in the romantic comedy genre, I highly recommend you begin with her first novel titled Tangled!

Drew and Kate are finally ready to take the plunge in Tied – to dive headfirst into marriage! Our couple is already living together and raising James, their two year-old son. One week prior to their wedding, the entire gang is heading to Las Vegas for one last hurrah! Drew is joined by Matthew, Steven, Jack O’Shay and Billy Warren. Kate is joined by Delores, Alexandra, and Drew’s secretary, Erin Burrows. The group is traveling together and staying in the same suite, with Vegas-style bachelor and bachelorette parties on the agenda. Now, I know what you are thinking. If you have read any of this series, you can only imagine the high jinx and misunderstandings which are bound to happen in Vegas. And guess what? Tied is infinitely better than anything your mind can conjure up!

Emma Chase has writing the interaction between Drew and Kate down to a science. Drew is as confident as they come. He tells it like it is. In his own opinion, he does no wrong. But Drew has had a hard time adjusting to the differences between men and women. Women don’t think like men, and until Kate, he never worried about that. Drew has learned some hard lessons since Kate disrupted his life, but he is learning. Fatherhood has been good for him. I think readers will find that his character has developed nicely over the course of this series.

Now, I absolutely love Emma Chase’s writing style. When reading her novels, it feels like her characters are speaking directly to you, telling you their colorful story. With Tied being told from Drew’s perspective, it is absolutely hysterical! Imagine Drew giving rock star Billy Warren advice on how to pick up women. Envision what Drew has to say about men, team sports and competitiveness. And can you picture Drew desperately trying to stay out of trouble in a Vegas strip club? Folks, this is funny stuff. Romantic comedy doesn’t get any better than this! Another 5-star novel from author Emma Chase!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 a perfectly hilarious conclusion 7 octobre 2014
Par Jessica Sotelo (Angie and Jessica's Dreamy Reads) - Publié sur Amazon.com

Tied is the final installment in the laugh-out-loud hilarious romance series by Emma Chase. This series is as wrought with humor as it is with drama, following Drew Evans and Kate Brooks as they navigate their way through an explosively hot office romance, an unexpected pregnancy and now, in Tied, their impending nuptials. Drew and Kate have dealt with their fair share of drama threatening their relationship, and it finally seems like smooth sailing from here on out. But with their wedding mere weeks away, and a double bachelor/bachelorette weekend in Vegas looming, what could possibly go wrong? Famous last words.

Drew's point of view is what, literally, drew all of us into this series in the first place. There is not a single book in existence that comes close to touching the perfection that is Drew Evans' sarcasm and humor and sexually charged inner monologue in Tangled. His voice in that book made this story line completely unforgettable and incomparable. It's that same voice that makes Tied so completely consuming. In Tied, Drew is still Drew. He's still the consummate professional, the same businessman we were drawn to previously. He still prefers blowjobs and breasts to food and sleep. But now he's a dad and a fiancee... so we're introduced to a side of the man we've not seen before.

Despite the antics, humor and hilarity that drive this story, Emma Chase reaffirms to the reader what brought Drew and Kate to this present moment in the first place. All jokes aside, the gravity and the raw emotion of the love that has evolved between these two characters is more prominent than ever in Tied. Between Drew's flashbacks of watching the woman he loves become a mother; his reminiscing of how their dynamic has changed from co-workers to lovers to parents to bride and groom to-be, through all of it we're reminded of where this story began, how far they've come and where they'll go from here. There's no shortage of laugh-your-ass-off, piss-your-pants moments in Tied, but despite the strippers, the copious amounts of alcohol, the fistfights and vulgar language, Tied is the most beautifully emotional representation of Drew and Kate's love story of the series.

Tied is basically the last hurrah before the Evans-Brooks wedding. The happy couple and their group of friends and family head to Vegas and embark on a weekend of debauchery sans children. The weekend is wrought with humorous trips down memory lane, Drew and Kate both learning hilarious and embarrassing stories about their significant other courtesy of their friends.

But, Tied is so much more than a raunchy weekend in Vegas. It's very much an ode to all that has made this series what it is. It's a beautiful reminder of where it all began, the epic romance that bloomed in Tangled and has been a non-stop roller coaster ride ever since. But it's also about these friendships, these diverse personalities that have all complimented this story, have all brought something pivotal to the plot over the course of this series. It's about family, those important people that set the bar high for what love and respect and trust should be, for both Drew and Kate. And it's about self-discovery, the journey toward figuring out exactly the man Drew has come to be, both for himself, the woman he loves and the little boy they've brought into the world. All of this, juxtaposed with comedy and humor the likes of which we've never seen before make for the perfect, unforgettable, unputdownable conclusion that is Emma Chase's Tied.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 I laughed, giggled, snorted, and chortled my way through this comedic masterpiece! 7 octobre 2014

What could be better than an entire book done from Drews’ POV? Drunken Drew in Vegas POV! Oh, God, how I missed this lovable jerk. Gut busting, tear welling laughter. It’s a blindsided comedic punch kind of humor. Love, love, LOVE it.

Drew, Kate, and all of their friends head to Vegas for a weekend of fun before the wedding. Do I really need to say anything else? I mean really? Everybody is there for the festivities. But it’s when Drew decides to impart some knowledge on the dating disaster that is Kate’s ex that the real fun begins. The guys and gals split up for the night for the pre marital tradition of bachelor and bachelorette parties. Can drew handle it? Will Kate trust him to make it out unscathed?

I am giving nothing away guys. Go in blind; feel the thrill of the ride for yourself. Get caught up in the inner dialogue of a man that's brilliantly clueless and has a wealth of man-whore knowledge to share with the masses.

I laughed, giggled, snorted, and chortled my way through this comedic masterpiece!
